If you have to visit only one waterfall in the Shirahone Onsen region, this is the one I recommend. There are others but Zengoro is the most beautiful in my opinion. A pleasant walk leads to the falls, that has a wooden deck for pictures. There is a free parking area beside the road.

Magical in the winter when the waterfall freezes up. Short walk from the carpark. You can rent snow shoes from Little Peak at the Tourist Information Centre.

湧き上がる雲、燃える炎、流れる水って人間が飽きずに見ていられるものらしいですね、この滝は遠目に見ると砂防ダムか？って程、なんていうか真四角でして、滝が小規模な分かなり近くまで近寄れました、 私は道路にある駐車場からこの滝を目指して、帰りに見事に道を間違えて、ペンション街に出てしまいました、歩いて車まで戻ったけれど、実は休暇村から遊歩道で滝まで1キロくらいまで近づいて、また引き返して車に乗って滝の駐車場へってやったのですが、後から考えたら、遊歩道を休暇村から下まで降りてバスで戻るって手もありましたね、途中で藪がガサガサいってクマかと思ったらお猿さん（しかも小猿、可愛かったけど牙も爪もあるから私が逃げた） と出会ったり電子音みたいな鳴き声の鳥に驚かされたり、滝以外にも色々体験出来ました、この辺り池なんかも解説板がしっかりしていて、この滝も岩を侵食して後退してかつての滝壺が残っているとの説明は勉強になりました、
