Beautiful natural waterfalls with lots of hiking trails around for a short walk up to a full day trip. Definitely recommend the Norikura area

ここへは、乗鞍高原 第3駐車場 (やまぼうし駐車場)に車を停めて、すずらん橋のたもとから遊歩道を降りて行くと行き着きます。三本滝・番所大滝とともに乗鞍三滝に数えられる素晴らしい滝です。ここは滝と同じくらい（ちょい高）の離れたところから滝を望めます。滝ができてからどんどん上流側に後退して今の位置にかかっているそうです。ちなみに名称は、きこりの善五郎さんがこの滝の淵で釣りをしていて、大きなイワナに滝つぼへひきこまれそうになり命からがら逃げかえったと里の人たちに話したことに由来するのだそうです。
