This historical architecture is so well-reserved and quiet. And, it was free to enter when I visited! It’s not big, but with so many cute details as shown in my images. You can order a shaved ice and enjoy there for just 650 yen, paired with a cup of tea.

As a hidden cultural gem, it offers a deep dive into the life and work of the renowned haiku poet, Kobayashi Issa. 見事な枯山水のお庭があります。 『新緑』or『紅葉🍁』のシーズン は殊更、素敵でしょうね。 『一茶双樹記念館』は、 一茶寄寓の地の保全も目的とし、 また、無料開放されています。 無料なのに、立派なパンフも。 一茶は、家族には恵まれず、 継母と弟との確執に苦悩してます。 しかし、友人には大いに恵まれた。 みりん醸造の秋元家の五代目で、 俳号を双樹という三左衛門さんは、 一茶の良き友であり､また、一番の 理解者であり、支援者でもあった。 一茶は、度々、流山の双樹の元を 訪ねて、親交を深めていた。 一茶は、流山を第二の故郷みたいに 思っていたという話もありますね。

句碑には、一茶の故郷、信州黒姫山 の石が使われているそうです。 『夕月や流れ残りのきりぎりす』 豪雨☔に依る、大洪水で、 流山全般は甚大なる被害を受けた。 夕方になると、ようよう雨もやみ、 水も引き、空には、いつもの様に 月が出て、何処かできりぎりすが 鳴いている……それを詠んだ俳句。 この俳句には、一茶の人生哲学が、 垣間見れるという、お話しですが、 私には、上手く説明出来ないなぁ。 それ以前に、いまひとつ理解が…… 私には、そこまでの学は無いわ。

余談 『流山の地名発祥の地』である、 赤城山＆赤城神社まで５分足らず。 ついでに、ぶらりと。

補足 記念館も赤城山も、ケーズデンキ⚡ の、ほぼ裏手あたりとなります。 狭い路地だから、車🚘の運転には、 注意が必要ですね🚘 対向車、自転車、歩行者、猫etc
