Unfortunately me and my husband had a frustrating experience at the ticket counter while enquiring for two one-way tickets to Nagano.
We were initially charged ¥36,000 for the journey for two people. After double checking and asking the male staff why the total seemed to be way more expensive than what Google suggested, it took him 5 mins to tell us total should be ¥18,000!! Everything was in a handwritten receipt with no clear breakdown of where the costs are. There was a ¥10,000 item that was no accounted for (minus the transfer journeys) but we didn’t bother asking further as communication was challenging enough.
He then strongly advised me and my husband to sit across the aisle from each other because it would be easy to put our luggages, instead of sitting together. We thought he was so sweet until we got onto the train and realised there was plenty of luggage space so now me and my husband are sat separately on a 3h train journey to Nagano…

However, there is no information about the fact that you need a further ticket (360yen) if you make use of the not so busy...
Read moreThe staff that always sits at the 乗り換え gate for the 名鉄 from 豊橋 is super rude. He was yelling very loud at a women simply for mistaking the 乗り換え as the 入り口. It isn't the first time I've seen that guy yelling at people. I use the station every day for work and he often yells at customers. He shouldn't be working a job like this if he can't keep his emotions in check. He needs to work a job not relating to people. He should...
