2020年に「まちびらき(オープン)したという奈良県の施設。 コンベンションホール・天平広場・天平ホールを主要施設とする。 普段は蔦屋書店目的で来店するぐらいか。いやバスターミナルもある、新たな中心か？ 今回「デジタルメッセ奈良(2024.2.8)」が催されたので行ってみた。奈良県では珍しいジャンル・テーマ・規模の展示会であった。 一日の展示会としてはもったいない内容であったが、若い人でないと理解出来ないレベル・内容でもあった。 そうか、コンピューターはこう進化しておるのか… 平城京遺跡の隣、奈良市役所の南側で、国道369号線と三条通りの間と言えばどういう条理になるのか知らないが、エリア内には高級ホテル・NHKも出来、不比等や長屋王からの変化を大変興味深く思った。

県内最大のコンベンション施設。奈良の木をふんだんに使った多目的施設。県内初の蔦屋書店も併設しています。 近鉄新大宮駅から徒歩10分、世界遺産に囲まれる古都・奈良の中心地に、県最大の会議場・観光交流拠点「奈良県コンベンションセンター」があります。 地上2階、地下2階建て、延べ床面積は約3万5000平方メートルもの広大な敷地内には、2000人程度が収容できるコンベンションホールをメインとしたコンベンション施設や、観光インフォメーション、県産品の販売、飲食施設を備えた観光振興施設が設けられています。 平城宮跡と奈良公園をつなぐ大宮通りに位置し、正倉院の校倉（あぜくら）造りをイメージした外観、内装に吉野スギや手すき和紙が使われるなど、地元奈良の素材を生かした空間が広がります。 メインとなるコンベンション施設には、約2100平方メートル、高さ約10メートルの広々とした「コンベンションホール」と中小の「会議室」を整備。様々な国内・国際会議や展示会の会場として使用されます。施設には吉野スギがふんだんに使われ、格調高い、趣のある空間が演出されています 敷地内、南に位置する場所には「BOOK&CAFE」「奈良...
