One of the best experiences that I could ever have when I have the chance to layover in Japan. My family and I have always wanted to travel to Japan to experience the culture and the food and the people! However, with Covid-19 restrictions, we couldnt have the opportunity to physically enter Japan for tourism. However, we did have the chance to layover there and with the genuine and gentle help and guidance of the airport staffs and vendors employees, we were so happy to have been able to shop and experience a little bit of culture that Japanese have to offer! Everything is much more affordable and cheaper than other international airports that I have been to! People would always believe that anything in the airport would either double or triple the market prices but not in Japan! The condiments and Japanese sweets are delicious and so much cheaper than U.S prices! Definitely choosing Japan to be my next layover for my upcoming trips to South...

This store had a lot of cool items to purchase. My favorite thing was a personal humidifier that could fit into your carry on and was about the size of your hand. I thought that was so cool. Too bad it wasn't wired for the USA or I would have bought one.

My little one needed a hello kitty doll (dressed in traditional Japanese clothes) and a real Japanese fan. Let's say she was very happy. I wasn't because I needed to make room for our newly acquired items with 3 more countries to go.

The store has a little of everything. We visited this location twice in 2 weeks and on our second visit it was slam packed full of shoppers. In fact, we couldn't even get in it was so crowded. So we were lucky not to acquire more items...

Rude Japanese lady cashier. She did not understand my question about warranty on my purchased item but immediately dismiss me from the counter. No one was queing behind me at all.

Unable to understand english does not give you excuse to be rude to customers.

If anyone planning to work at an airport, they should have some willingness to learn a communication language or at least consumer/visitor hospitality.

If you are not willing to, just work elsewhere without having to deal with foreiners/visitors.

Please train your...

Hold on to your wallet! This place has cute animé-themed decor and amazing selections of Japanese souvenirs (e.g. fridge magnets, food items, seafood snacks, chocolate, stationery, manga, toys, sake, and even DIY Ramen Kits). The staff were helpful (although not everyone spoke English) but Google Translate will always be your friend in this airport shop. The only issue is the extremely long queue for the cashiers but they were very efficient so it wasn't really a super long wait.

A pretty nice souvenir shop at the airport and really good prices. In fact same prices (or cheaper for some things) than e.g. at the street market in Asakusa. ¥400 for a magnet, ¥600-1000 for wild kitkat flavours, etc. If you have as little as ¥158 left you can still get get mini strawberry kitkats… Spend your last Yen coins here! I got ¥12 left :)
