On the way to home town in the winter holiday I happened to drop in at O(h)tsuka Museum of Art which is located in Naruto City, very popular town for the spectacular sea vortex. The museum is quite unique as they display replicas of European masterpieces baked on ceramic board in its original dimension. This must be ONE of Kenny's Best Kept Secrets. I was, frankly speaking, astonished by the finish quality of "replica of Ohtsuka". The 1,000 paintings are supposed to remain as they are for 2,000 years, they say, thanks to the latest and innovative technology. Suppose you were Asian who visited Japan I'll definitely recommend you to come and see them once in your life as It's really " Vale la pena!" Kenny @ Justavi

I didn't plan to stop off here but my wife insisted I check it out while in Naruto. I'm not a big art fan but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the museum! Over a thousand pieces of art from a variety of periods, including a lot of famous pieces you may know. Expect to spend several hours here if you want to see most of it! Everything is a ceramic life-size reproduction so you can take photos and even touch the art if you want. If you're okay with just seeing copies of famous works you'll definitely enjoy the museum. Plenty of parking is available in nearby lots. The closest is a five minute walk, the rest require a short and free shuttle bus ride. There are also a few restaurants on-site.

A replica museum featuring famous art from all across history and the world, like Da Vinci, El Greco, Picasso, Van Gogh, etc. While all very clearly designed to look fake, they make for great social media snapshots, and some of the larger scale works like the sistine chapel recreation are genuinely impressive. Main complaint is that it is far too large, there are easily over a thousand individual artworks spread across 100 mini-galleries in there. While the gimmick is fun at first, it gradually becomes exhausting after the first 30 minutes that you're in there. Admission price is also quite high, probably as a result of the sheer quantity in there. Good to visit of you're an art fan, but not an art critic.

It is a MASSIVE museum with thousands of famous paintings in the world. It would take half a day to explore the entire area. These paintings are not the original ones but very close replicas. They offer some museum tours and it is very helpful for understanding the background of the works. I am not sure if they offer tours in English or other languages, but I think at least they provide an audio tool that explains them. The museum doesn’t just have a great replicas that made from pottery. It also replicates surrounding areas like caves and architecture transporting visitors to different places. Additionally, there is a lovely cafe where you can enjoy some food and drinks related to the arts and the area.

世界の名画が、 ほとんど揃っている 全国的に有名な 巨大美術館です 陶板焼きで再現されていて、 礼拝堂ごと再現されています 3時間で3割位、 観られました 開館から閉館までいたら、 全部観られるかもと思いました ◆館内掲示の仕組み 古代からはじまり、 階段を上がるごとに、 中世、近代と 時代が現代に近くなってきます みんながよく知っている絵画は、 中世から近代に多いので、 1番下の階の、古代から、ざっとみながら、 必ず観たい絵画がある、 中世や近代にも時間が取れるように 時間配分するのが良いみたいです ◆ コスプレアートフェア （2024年11月まで） 館内で、絵画の主人公になって写真が撮れるコーナーがありました 6つの絵画になれます 子供喜び、楽しすぎました 小２の子供が、 笛を吹く少年そっくりになりました。 家族やグループの方は、 ゴッホの7つのひまわりと、 絵と同じになれて、 楽しそうでした 真珠の耳飾りの少女は 撮影の時、表情を真似したら 素敵に撮れそう、でも笑ってしまい、 それはそれで、面白写真になりました ブランコの絵のコスプレ、 別の場所にあって 撮りそこないましたが、 エレガントな絵の主人公になれて 面白すぎます ◆アクセス 開館時間に合わせて 美術館を経由する 徳島行きの高速バスが 一日数本あり、 大阪、京都など、各地から 高速バスで来れます 往復高速バスと入館料のセット割も 高速バスのサイトで販売されています (片道高速バスとのセット割は無し。) 車で来た場合は 駐車場が離れているので、 無料シャトルバスで美術館まで行きます ◆割引チケット 色々探しても割引チケットなかったので、 大塚美術館の公式サイトで、 オンライン割引チケットを買いました 当日、直前でも購入できます スマホチケットで150円割引。 スマホでピッと入場できます。 ◆コインロッカー（無料。100円戻る） エレベーター登ってすぐにもありますが、 そこは、小型サイズのみ より大型のコインロッカーは、 エレベーター登って、更に 館内入ってすぐ左にあります。 ミュージアムショップ奥にも コインロッカーがあり、 100円なかった時用の、 両替機もあります ◆スマホ充電 無料。 コンセント、USBつきの ポールが、 館内の色々な箇所にあります ◆レストラン 良心的な価格。 メニューの写真、 少しとり、添付しました ◆音声ガイド 500円で、入口入って右、 ミュージアムショップ前にあります 合計2時間分あるそうで、 片道イヤホン。 イヤホンは、使い捨てで 持って帰っても良いそうです 絵にも解説が詳しく 書いてあるのですが、 子供は解説を聞く方が早いかと 1人1台借りました ◆無料ガイドツアー 一日に、10回ほど、 美術館主催の 無料ガイドツアーが 何種類かあります (15分から40分、内容も様々） 美術館入って、 すぐのシスティーナ礼拝場から 始まります 始めからついて回るのもいいし 途中、見かけたら 合流することもできます ◆モネの庭 屋外に、ハスの花がさく、 モネの庭があります ◆ゴッホの部屋 一階のカフェの奥に、 ゴッホの部屋を再現した コーナーがあります ◆小学2年生でも楽しめました 小学2年生の、絵が好きな 次女と行きました コナンとおしり探偵でみた、 ・7つのひまわり、 ・モナリザ がみたい！！と先にまわり、 小学生でも、楽しめました ◆感想 世界の名作、知っている絵が 山の様に展示されていて、 3時間でも、30%ぐらいしか 観られていないです システィーナ礼拝堂は、 礼拝堂ごと、再現されています 米津玄師さんが、 紅白で中継で歌った会場で、 米津さんが描いたレモンの絵も ありました 最後の晩餐なども、実物大。 これだけの名画を、世界を周って 本物を観るのは、なかなか難しく クチコミで、 本物ではなく、感動がない、 とのコメントもみるのですが、 本物ではないけれど、 感動しました 大きな実物大の 美術解説本を読むつもりでも、 かなり楽しめると思いました 全部まわれなかったので、 また、ぜひ、伺います❣️
