Manzamo is a famous attraction in Okinawa, Japan, known for its natural beauty and unique geological features. Here's a description of its characteristics:
Natural Beauty: Located in the northern part of Okinawa Island, Okinawa Manzamo is a cape that offers breathtaking coastal views and charming natural landscapes. From the cape, visitors can overlook the azure sea, rocky cliffs, and the crashing waves, creating a sense of tranquility and grandeur.

Read moreThe admission ticket costs 100Yen per person to gain entry. It was a beautiful place to see the ocean and how clear blue it was. Additionally, the place was extremely windy so you would not need to worry about being too sweaty. We visited Cape Manzamo in the morning about 10am which I felt was the perfect time to visit as the sun was not too bright and the winds made the place extremely cooling.
It took us 15-20 minutes to finish soaking in the scenes of Cape Manzamo before making our way back to the main building. The main building houses a few gift shops (2-3 from what I recall) along with a few food choices (yoghurt bowls, ramen) and was very well maintained. I enjoyed how the building had big glass windows to allow natural light to filter through as well.
The only reason why I am not rating this visit 5 stars is because of how "fast" it took us to clear the main attraction (to no fault of the team that maintains the place). Thankfully for us, it was only a 5-10 minute drive from our accommodation. If you booked a hotel an hour away, it may not be the best use of time to visit this place, unless you are a nature & scenic...
Read moreCape Manzamo was one of the most scenic highlights of our Okinawa trip. As we approached the cliffside, the first thing that struck us was the dramatic view—rugged cliffs shaped like an elephant’s trunk jutting into the deep blue sea. It felt like a perfect blend of raw nature and peaceful beauty.
The walking path was easy and accessible, making it a great spot even for families with kids or elderly members. The ocean breeze, the crashing waves below, and the panoramic view of the East China Sea created such a calming atmosphere. We took our time strolling along the paved path, soaking in the endless horizon and taking lots of photos.
The area wasn’t overly crowded when we visited, which made the experience even better. Sunset here must be magical—definitely on our list for next time.
