Fukugi — Restaurant in Onna

I am a traveler in Japan, who barely speaks any Japanese, I found this place on google and walked to it, it was close to closing time but she let me in, and she was just lovely. It is a really traditional old building, shoes off at the door, sit on the tatami, and its beautiful. The food was delicious, best Okinawa Soba I've had, and she spent 10 minutes talking to me afterwards, explaining things to me in basic japanese and a bit of english so i could understand. Really great experience, a lovely woman runs the store, if you also go to the cape and get scammed, definitely come here for food if you can! Plus its cheap. Food- excellent, fall off the bone ribs. Traditional Okinawa Soba, with a very traditional Japanese feel. Was only 2 Soba options, a rice option, and Orion beer to choose from. Water self service. Walked out at ¥1,750 for 2 Soba bowls. Service- very quickly served, she was wonderful serving us, and welcoming. Traditional Okinawa soba. There are only 3 items on the menu. Pork ribs soba, pork belly soba and Okinawa steam rice. We got there around one and the only available item was the pork belly soba. It was delicious, the pork belly was tender and flavorful. The owner is a very nice lady and she handles everything herself, from servicing, cooking to cleaning up. Would go back and try...
