Amazing museum which has a large collection of children picture book artist's original artwork. Watch out for regular exhibitions of their work. Easy access by train from main sendai station. Currently closed for 2.5 years for major refurbishment. Uncluttered layout over 2 floors with some art pieces outside surround the .ain buildings. Visited "guri a d gura" exhibition some years ago, which was extensive and catalogued the artist's (Yuriko Yamawaki) works through her...

Nice collection of art. I believe it is a tad overpriced at 1400 yen for a rather small collection of art but there were still some interesting pieces to admire. In total, it took a little under an hour to view every piece. We bought tickets for all the displays. The cost of admission to the main permanent exhibit was only 300 yen. If I did it over again, I'd save the money and just view the...

６月１９日から、２年間レニューアルのためお休みになるので常設展示を見てきました。ちょっと修理すれば十分綺麗になると思います。仙台ハーフマラソン大会が美術館とニ高のある交差点で広瀬橋方面に曲がるコースで行っていました。応援する人がいっぱいですと盛り上がります。ボテロの猫は、バルセロナの町に大きなのがあります。外の展示も常設展示の入場券が必要です。
