4世紀初めのヤマト王権の国土統一とともに古墳文化が広がる。この草薙地区にも5世紀から7世紀にかけて浸透し、吉田川から四方沢川にかけて有度山の北山裾には200基を超える古墳が作られていました。 草薙地区を含む有度南部は水利が悪く、墓地に最適だったと推測されます。 これらの古墳のほとんどは、明治初期の茶樹栽培の開墾で発掘、破壊されましたが、出土品は散逸を防ぐため、県立美術館入口の信号機東側の小山に埋め戻され、「山神の碑」が建てられています。 ひょうたん塚古墳は、当地に現存する古墳時代後期の最も大きな古墳であり、この地の豪族「イオハラ氏」の墓と推測されます。 イオハラの王は、663年白村江の戦いで一万余の健児（こんでい）を率いて、駒越の浜から百済に渡...

静岡県立大学の直ぐ下側(北側)にあるかわいい公園です。ブランコや滑り台などの子供用の遊具あり、大人の体力作りにも役立つ木製遊具あり(９種類)、🚻トイレは身障者用を含む２ヶ所があります。また木陰にベンチが数ヶ所あるので、休憩したり、昼ごはん(🍙お弁当)を食べるなどして、ゆっくりとくつろぐ事が出来ます。直ぐそばにコンビニがあるので、飲み物や食べ物が調達でき便利です。清掃も行き届いており、みんなで大切に利用したい公園です！JR.草薙駅や静鉄.草薙駅から徒歩で10分...
