Where and when to see Sakura (Cherry Blossoms) in Tokyo (SAVE + SHARE): 🌸 Uneo Park: With 800 sakura trees this is one of the most popular (read crowded) places in Tokyo to view cherry blossoms and it’s free to enter. 🌸 Shinjuku Gyoen has about 1,300 sakura trees but is also very popular, has a small entrance fee of roughly $4 and sometimes even requires pre-booking on certain days so be sure to check their website. 🌸 Imperial Palace East Gardens (free) 🌸 Chidorigafuchi one of the more iconic cherry blossom viewing parks which is free to enter. This where you will see people in boats in the water with the sakura surrounding them. 🌸 Sumida Park (free) is in the Asakusa area of Tokyo so if you’re visiting the Senso-ji Shrine it’s best to visit here the same day. 🌸 Inokashira Park (free) has about 500 cherry blossoms surrounding the pond where you can also rent a swan shaped boat and paddle around it. 🌸 Meguro River (free) honestly best viewed at night since the trees are lit up it’s is gorgeous and extremely popular as it’s host of the Meguro River Cherry Blossom Festival. You can take a river cruise down to check out all 800+ sakura trees that line it. 🌸 Yoyogi Park one of the best parks to enjoy Hanami, which is the tradition of having a picnic under the blossoming trees. 🌸 Kasai Rinkai Park: If you’re visiting Disneyland Tokyo this free park is only 1 stop away Super blessed to have been able to see the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom. They typically bloom late March- early April in Tokyo but this year specifically they were scheduled to be in full bloom on March 31st after we left Tokyo on the 26th. Due to the unseasonable whether they bloomed early and we were in Tokyo on the day of the full bloom. It might have rained our entire time in Tokyo but we got to witness the beautiful sakura so a win is a win! Cherry blossom trees can also be found in D.C., St. Louis, NY, Paris, Istanbul, Jerte Valley Spain and a few other places. Have you seen them in real life? 📸 @bruna_luise #tokyosakura #sakuraseason #tokyojapan
