I was lucky one to find this place exactly when this festival occured, the name of the festival was "Wanpaku Matsuri". Usually I walk in the Musashino Mori Park, but that day( 5th November) I suddenly hearded some music from far away, and follwed to the sound, found this festival and this amaging place. After that, I also visited there, many people came here during their holidays to enjoy or having some picnic with their family. Though I love the Matsuri most, I wish this can be held every month so that I can enjoy the concert and eat some delicious food from the stalls!!!

武蔵野公園の広い草原にこんもりともり上がる丘は、大海原に背を出す“くじら”のように見える。それがこの丘を「くじらやま」と呼ぶ由縁ナノかもしれません。 丘の上で網を持った子供が二人駆けまわっています。 10m程の丘、その頂上に立つと、草原がいかに広いか一目瞭然で、遠くを歩く人が豆粒のように見え、樹林帯の遥か彼方に小金井の街並みが確認できて、“アア、ここも東京なんだ”という感じがする。

このあたりは公園の中でも人が少なく静かな所で、のんびり手足を伸ばせます。休みの日にはお弁当持ちでゆっくりするのもいいし、ジョギングやウオーキン...

広々とした、気持ちの良い原っぱです。夜になると広い空に星がたくさん見えます。ただ、くじら山の近くの原っぱ真ん中にオフロード自転車のコースが人工的に作られています。今は使用禁止のようですが、以前は愛好家？たちがコース外も高速で自転車を乗り回していて、原っぱで遊んでいる子どもたちにはとても危険でした。コースはロープが張ってありますが、凸凹の硬い山があるので、...
