Tokyo Mega illumination is a mandatory experience to all at least once, specially with kids. The mesmerizing lightings, water fountain shows takes one to a different world all together. There were 16 different illuminations this year (2024-25). The top one word be the “Edo cherry blossom tunnel” it’s sooo amazing and the next one would be the awesome tree with breathtaking view, twinkling tunnel, the sparkling rose garden, illuminated wisteria pergola, primeval Japanese landscape, lawn square, dazzling waterfall, twinkle road, etc. The cute little pony’s and the stunts performed by the artist / magician were an additional bonus. The Tokyo Mega Illumination is very well organized in the Oi Racecourse with bilingual labels and directions and in house restaurants and the very supportive staffs. It’s an absolute pleasure to experience such an incredible effort from the team of TMI to install all the lights in a perfect way. Kudos...
Read moreFairly prices fleamarket. If you are looking for an opportunity to find cool clothes you can find them here but almost at vintage store prices. There are a few stands that have 300 yen racks but that’s as cheap as it gets. Look out for private people that don’t make this their business and just want to get rid of some stuff eventhough that was very rare at this fleamarket. And don’t buy any Pokémon packs before you shake them. The cards should not move and if there is more air than usual inside it’s because they were opened and closed again. All in all 5/10 for this fleamarket. Fair amount of scammers but some cool stuff. It is also one of the only ones that happened regularly and on both Saturday and Sunday. So if u missed your opportunity to visit others...
Read moreI visited Oi Racecourse for the Christmas illumination event, and it was absolutely stunning! ✨ The light displays were magical, with vibrant colors and intricate designs creating a truly festive atmosphere. The organizers did a fantastic job of setting up interactive light installations, making it a great spot for photos and family fun.
The venue was spacious and well-organized, so even with the crowd, it felt comfortable to walk around and enjoy the illuminations. The addition of seasonal food stalls was a nice touch, offering warm snacks and drinks to complement the chilly winter evening.
Overall, this was a fantastic holiday experience, and I highly recommend visiting if you're looking for a unique and dazzling Christmas outing...
