Ultraman Statue — Attraction in Tokyo

I want to say this place is a Ultraman fan’s dream spot. Its anything but. Let me preface by saying I am by no means a huge Ultraman fan. However I do respect the franchise and its fans. I wouldnt come here for very long at all. The statue and lamp posts are cool, but at the time of this review (NOV2018) you cant get anywhere near old man Tsubaraya’s building. Its so crowded that walking down the street is dangerous (cars, bike riders, walking space is limited and blocked by random obstacles). There is almost nothing here to appease Ultra fans or even simple tourists. Save yourself the trouble, get a pic with the statue, and get out. I would be devastated if I was a big ultraman fan, even as somebody who only likes a few ultraman things, I am super disappointed. Will not return for any reason unless there are...

The square outside the station was renovated, and the statue shifted around so that it now has its back to the police koban. It is still a fun and impressive statue (although I confess to knowing nothing of Ultraman as it was not shown in my home country) and there are various other statues (some 'flying' overhead) dotted around the town (and even one of a sort of crab creature). The themed lamposts (each containing a card) and the decorated manhole covers should also appeal to fans. As for the square itself, it is sterile. I realise that various festivals are held here, but there's not a blade of grass! Surely a few trees and a peripheral hedgerow would enhance the place! ・今回は、上記の中の「ウルトラマン シンボル像」に訪問。 ・祖師ヶ谷大蔵駅を降り立つとすぐ目の前に佇むウルトラマンには我が子も大はしゃぎ。まさに町のシンボルですね。
