This is a facility added in Mt. TAKAO which can be a very useful rescue for a new family along with their kids attempting the Hiking for the first time. It's a chair lift actually a bench which is run by a rope and a machine. I'd like to recommend not to ride this with a kid who is unstable , inconfident as these chair has no belts no any supportive iron rod like in a roller coaster. RIDE AT YOUR RISK.... In my experience though I rode with my 4 years old daughter who is a good girl , I was little worried until we got off the lift chair . It has a reasonable price . Be careful while riding on and getting off as it never stops you have to walk faster on its pace and ride and get off. But there are many staffs very ready to help. And if your are too early you might not use it as it opened at 10 in my time. I went there in October first...

There's food stalls, bathrooms and shrines all the way. Was not crowded at a weekday but can get very crowded at weekends...
