Jinpukaku Mansion — Attraction in Tottori

A beautiful Western-style building in Tottori.

The entrance fee is only 150 yen. You can learn about the history of the building through the pictures inside it. Be careful that you have to take off your shoes before entering. There is no air conditioner inside so it was quite hot. It only takes 10 minutes to go around the building if you do not read the history part of it.

The view from the garden is pretty, there is a grass area where you take photo of the building...

Very well preserved French Renaissance building with lots of interesting artefacts inside. All of the information is in Japanese however there is an audio track played frequently that gives information in English. The spiral staircase built with no supporting beams is amazing and the gardens are just stunning! For the cheap ¥150 entrance fee, it is well...

太田和彦さんが絶賛されていた螺旋階段が見たくて訪れました。

建物は思っていたより大きくて迫力があり、突貫で立てたとは思えない美しさです。

螺旋階段は片方の ささら が壁に埋め込まれておりそれによって全体を支えていたんですね。

近くで見られて感動しました。
