Visit 22nov. When we visited at 11am, there's no one. Admission 600yen but you get matcha and sweet, there is english brosure. Its so peacefull and relaxing. We really enjoying staying...

霜月の中頃で小春日和の午後、鳥取市上町山の手通りを散策中に｢観音院」山門の境内から紅葉の木々や色付いた山々がこちら側に迫り寄って見えています。｢観音院」が凛とした美しい景観を現しています。 思わず誘い込まれて気が付けば、境内拝殿の前に立っていました。 辺りは空気が澄んで深呼吸をしますとひんやりとした木々の薫りがします。 体の中が洗われるようでした。 耳を済ませると寺の中から女性たちの話す声が僅かに聞こえてきます。 静けさに浸りながら境内にいました。 ｢観音院庭園」は観音院の背後の山と観音院の庭園の中に自然の傾斜を生かした築山と池を拵え、双方の景観が相引き立て合う庭園です。それは素晴らしいに違いありません。しかしその周辺の自然景観を含めて｢観音院」は実に美しく迫り寄り添います。 それが｢観音院」の魅力です。 観音院は天台宗のお寺で初代池田藩主及び歴...

鳥取市の市街地にある観音院は、中国三十三観音霊場の第32番札所です。 創建は江戸時代初期の17世紀で、天台宗の古刹です。 私（大阪府在住）は、古社寺を巡るのが好きで、一眼レフカメラを片手に全国の古社寺を巡っています。 今回は、御朱印巡りはもとより、数年前から勉強をしている考古・古代史にまつわる鳥取付近の史跡や博物館を３泊４日で巡りました。 観音院には2022年11月24日に訪れました。 観音院は紅葉の名所で、山門付近や有名な庭園のもみじがちょうど見頃を迎えていました。 書院から眺める庭園は池泉鑑賞式庭園といわれ、名勝に指定されています。まるで京都の庭園のようで 、静かな佇まいの素敵な庭園でした。 拝観料は600円でしたが、お菓子と抹茶がついています。抹茶をいただき、とても気持ちの良い時間を過ごせました。おすすめです。
