The Venetian Gondolas at Tokyo DisneySea offer guests a peaceful, romantic boat ride through the park’s Mediterranean Harbor, inspired by the canals of Venice, Italy. This attraction captures the charm of a real Venetian gondola experience, complete with beautifully designed boats and gondoliers who sing as they row.
Each gondola holds about 16 passengers and is guided by two gondoliers dressed in traditional striped shirts and hats. They navigate through the waterways, passing under arched bridges and offering stunning views of Palazzo Canals and Fortress Explorations. The ride lasts around 12 minutes, giving visitors a chance to soak in the atmosphere while hearing charming stories and songs from the gondoliers.
One of the most magical moments happens at sunset and in the evening when the harbor lights reflect on the water, creating an enchanting scene. During special events, like Christmas or Halloween, the gondoliers sometimes add seasonal touches to their performances.
Unlike some rides at Tokyo DisneySea, the Venetian Gondolas are not a thrill attraction, making them a perfect option for couples, families, or anyone looking for a relaxing break from the excitement of the park. It’s a simple yet unforgettable experience that brings the romantic essence of Venice to...

This attraction is one of the most popular rides at Tokyo Disneysea and coincidentally the most difficult one to get on. The reasons for that include: there are no fast passes for it the ride is fairly long each gondola can take only small amounts of people the water show that runs consistently throughout the day require this ride to be shut down significantly before and after each performance the lines are so long!!!
With that being said, even though it seems like such a fun thing to do and also theoretically easy to calculate as to when you’ll be able to get onto the ride it is located at the entrance to the park and quite frankly if you’re a one-time visitor it just isn’t worth it to go all the way from one end of the park to the other for you to wait in this long line.
I wish that I could have gone on it at the beginning of the day before I knew how difficult it would be because they also shut down at some point since they don’t run at night, but some things just aren’t meant to be!
I’m sure that on my next visit to Disneysea I’ll make it a point to come onto this ride but I just wanted to prepare everyone for the difficulty that...

It was Sunday but the queue was short. I only needed to wait for approx 10 minutes. The gondoliers were hilarious~ and the view is so beautiful. I hope I can ride one in Venice. Anyway, there was one bridge and the gondolier said if we wish three things under the bridge, our wishes will come true. I don't really believe, but I still I wished for three things. Well, no request is too...
