Oceano — Restaurant in Urayasu

No idea what the reviews are all about here. Maybe their dinner buffet just sucks. Anyway, everybody's taste buds is different, so this is just my own opinion. You should go ahead and try it yourself if you want.

For 7k++ yen / person, this is just so sad. Not many options of food. Very little choice for a buffet at this price. Quality? Nah, not for me. Everything was so dry. Salmon dry, roasted chicken had no flavor, steak was rubbery.

Desserts? Some of them are presented nicely, but their taste is not worth 7k. Just sugary.

Salad? Pfft, they didn't look fresh at all, at least to me.

Fruits are limited by 1 tiny cup, 1 tiny pineapple, 1 grape, 1 cantaloupe or melon, forgot. Had to look like a peasant taking like 6 of those cups for myself.

Oh, did i mention this buffet only offers free water? Yep. 7k / person, and not a single drink offered for free other than water.

The only thing that I liked here was their butter roll. It just melts in your mouth! Combined it with their whipped butter.

We then checked out of Mira Costa, moved to Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay. At 3.7k yen / person, food was a lot better at Hyatt buffet. Free juices and a lot of drink options! Maybe Mira Costa's food were just too fancy for me that I couldn't appreciate them? I don't know.

Anyway, don't splurge on food at any themed park. Just stick with the standard offerings from many, many different...

We visited Oceano Restaurant exactly two weeks ago, on the 10th of January, to celebrate my birthday and were greatly taken care of by Ryo Fukuta. She was very attentive, polite, sweet and kind throughout our time there. We had their Table Service and was very impressed with the food and the amount of effort that goes into the plating without compromising on the taste and quality. The unrestricted view of Disneysea’s night show watched from the restaurant’s private balcony elevated the whole dining experience. Ryo went the extra mile to take a printed photo for us and made a beautiful card, along with a sweet Thank You note and stickers. We also had a nice chat as she escorted us out as we’re leaving. We are grateful and truly appreciate the warm hospitality from Ryo. Food was amazing, the service was impeccable, this place has nothing but good vibes all around. I will always remember this night thanks to Ryo and the team at Oceano! We will recommend this restaurant to our friends and family and we’ll definitely make a return for future...

The one star is only given, because the waiters did a good job. We where having the dinner course yesterday evening. It is ok for me to spent much money for highclass cousin, but this was just highclass prices for not even middle class food. If the restaurant wants to be in the upper class, prepare the wine like it should be. Serve delicious little wonders of taste. Not mostly neutral spiced minimalist bits.
