Grand Chateau — Hotel in Urayasu

I was not impressed by the Grand Chateau. I stayed at both Fantasy Chateau and the Grand Chateau and I enjoyed my room and service a lot better from the Fantasy Chateau at a fraction of the price. Although the checkin in the lobby in the morning was great, finishing checking in later in the day took a lot longer than expected and they were nice enough but not nearly as friendly as Fantasy. We wanted to enjoy our terrace and have breakfast on the terrace but learned they cannot accommodate allergies, which is fine but their website indicated otherwise. We were there wouldn't cross contamination and to just ignore the shellfish because they had to deliver it, which would be deadly for my mom. The rooms are huge but I thought the Fantasy rooms were prettier. The slippers, memory book and coffee were nicer in the Grand and we enjoyed watching the fireworks and looking at the park. Our first stay at opening truly delivered a 5 star experience. We just booked for October to find they are taking away many of the benefits of staying spending $$$$$ to stay at a “luxury” hotel. The changes:

Early Park Entry: You used to be let into the park eirlier than all other guests. This benefit made all the difference. They discontinued this and you enter at the same time as other Disney hotel guests

Breakfast: The exclusive restaurant used to serve breakfast exclusively for guests in the luxury wing. It now does not serve breakfast and only opens for brunch after the park opens

Room service: They no longer do breakfast room service! Want to take advantage of your luxury balcony that includes table and chairs for a private breakfast? Out of luck.

For all breakfast they direct you to the other part of the hotel that is not exclusive.
