I am not sure if Usuki Park and Usuki Castle Ruins actually constitute the same park because they are definitely in the same area. I mean, who knows which parts of the entire area is covered and labeled as park and which ones are castle ruins? Maybe the castle ruins IS exactly the park itself. It’s a very big area and you can see the turret, shrines, athletic fields, artifacts. It is a quiet place and would be great for exploring or going...

Very quiet and quaint park, if U want some time to your self while passing thru usuki very recommended!

There is a co-op near the tourist information Centre so pop past get a picnic and...

サイクリングの目的地としてやってきました。 城跡は公園として整備されていて、家族連れや高齢者も遊びに来ていました。 再建された大手門の他に、畳櫓や脇櫓なども残っており、それなりに楽しめます。 元は海城だったのですが、その雰囲気は残念ながら残っておりません。 城マニアの端くれとしては、地元大分県の城を積極的にアピールしたいのですが、どうしても今一つな感じです。 なぜか？石垣の上に雑草がたくさん生えていて、あまり見えないのです。たぶん、乱積みの切り込みはぎと思うのですが、もっとしっかりみたいです。
