Shingon-ji — Attraction in Wakkanai

Shingonji Temple is a significant and serene site, known as the 27th temple of the 33 Kannon sacred sites in Hokkaido. 北門神社から歩いて10分余り。 大きな朱塗りの建物の前に出ました。 こちらがこの日の稚内寺社巡りのメインに考えていた真言寺です。

真言寺は北海道三十三観音霊場の第27番札所となっています。 私が巡礼をしている北海道八十八ヶ所、三十六不動尊、そして三十三観音の札所のうち、道北地方（上川、留萌、宗谷）にある札所で参拝していない最後の札所です。 ようやくここまで来れました。

真言寺の前には小さな川が流れていて、いろは橋がかかっています。 その近くには「稚内地名発祥の地」という看板があり、「冷たいきれいな水のある川」を意味するアイヌ語の「ヤムワッカナイ」が稚内の語源になっているそうです。 その川がこちらの川とのことでした。

本堂の脇の入口に向かい、三十三観音のお参りに来た旨を告げると、本堂に案内していただけました。 納経帳をお渡しして押印をしていただく間、納経箱に般若心経のお写経を納め、御本尊の前で般若心経をお唱えしました。 そして霊場御本尊の御真言をお唱えしました。

最北端の北海道33観音霊場「御朱印」の旅で立ち寄りました。 ひとり旅を楽しみながらのお遍路、無事結願する事が出来ました。 霊場33ヶ所・観光地160ヶ所をめぐり、北海道内走行5000㌔に往復2000㌔の行程を乗り越えて無事自宅に帰りました。 北海道は、利尻島・礼文島に友人や孫を伴ってお伺いしましたが、バスガイドさんの礼文島で歌って頂いた🎶ここ最果の利尻と礼文♪を懐かしく思い出した。 ✈🚌🚢世話になった皆様、 🙏あり...
