It’s nice park with free. Great place for relaxing and enjoying good air! Just by sea side so nice for walking!! You can run around with kids. Here are Perry museum in this park! There are bench and vending machine. No parking by here. Just come by walking!! Enjoy!!

日本の歴史公園100選にも選ばれているという、歴史公園。ペリー通りと呼ばれる、神奈川県道212号久里浜港線の久里浜海岸目の前にあります。公園に入ると、目の前には大きなペリー上陸記念碑がある記念碑広場があります。記念碑に書かれた碑文は、初代内閣総理大臣・伊藤博文の揮毫によるものだそうです。奥には、２階建てのペリー記念館、黒船をモチーフにしたすべり台付きの遊具塔がある自動広場になっていました。記念碑広場ではイベントが行われたり、７月にはバレードや花火大会も行われる久里浜ペリー祭で賑わうそうです。ペリー記念館は、入場料無料。貴重な資料を見ることが出来ます。２階には、足元にスゴロクが描かれていて、サイコロを振り、お子さんも楽しみながら歴史を学べるようになっていました。１階受付でお願いすれば、１５分程度の時間で、スタッフの方がガイドをしてくれるそうです。ゆっくり見て回っても、１時間とかからないので、お近くに来た際は一見の価値アリだと思います。ただ、駐車場はないので、近隣の駐車場利用になります。

An interesting historical landmark and a small accompanying museum. Very, very out of the way for foreign tourists, and the museum is 100% Japanese. I would not recommend coming here unless you happen to have ~2 hours of daylight to burn after the main attractions in Yokosuka (Verny Park, the military bases, Mikasa). The four stars...
