Aqaba Museum — Attraction in Aqaba

Actually is the museum to be found next to Aqaba castle, but the archeological site is further to the north on the sea side opposite to the Aqaba Gulf Hotel. The site is still under excavation but it is allowed to enter and the sign tell you the story of the lost city of Ayla. This was the name of the town before Aqaba. This Museum is not here? We found Sharif Hussein's House Museum to be in this location which seemed to be closed as well (despite google opening hours saying that one should be open, however no opening hours or information could be found outside the main closed gate). This is confusing as the jordan pass website the Aqaba Museum should still exist. We couldn't find out if the museum has changed location or closed for good? Don't waste your time, do...
