Stayed there for one night in early November before rushing out to another hotel the day after. Can't believe otherwise trustworthy Lonely Planet bothered to review this hotel and even said some good things about it. ||||My room (which had a remote sea view beyond a large, noisy parking lot) was dingy, bed sheets had suspicious yellow stains and a bathroom needed serious renovation. And there's no breakfast. At least staff are friendly but that was hardly enough to justify the 25 jd rate for a single room (I moved to Al Shula hotel the following day for the exact same price and the hotel offered a far superior and cleaner room with a far greater sea view, plus a nice breakfast!) ||||Even the locations...it is located a bit far to the south from downtown where few foreigners are seen and I had to walk among a sea of local Jordanian guys on the street who whistled and stared at me every 2 seconds (perhaps because I was one of a very few Asian women who were travelling the city at that time?) ||||Anyway, just don't go to this hotel. Never ever. Shame it was featured in Lonely...
Read moreMy experience with this hotel was not as bad as the other reviewers but now I wish that I had tried some of the other places.||We booked two nights and it was 20 JD a night, so we thought that was a good deal. There is a couple of restaurants next door and the food was good and cheap. It is a local area but everyone was nice and polite. We did have an oriental woman with us and the men all went crazy for her. I don't know if it is because they don't see many women from China, Japan, etc, or if every woman gets this attention? ||The location isn't too bad as you can easily walk to the downtown area and the public beach is close. I wouldn't swim here but the glass-bottom boats were close by.||The location is on the right end to get to the better beaches and the ferry to Egypt. Still, you will have to...
Read moreI stayed in this hotel for 5 nights over 2 weeks of time and i have had a warm welcome here. Because we travel by bicycle we have some special questions sometimes but the staff was very willing to help us out with parking, fresh water, .... The rooms are oldfashioned and it looks a bit crappy but everything works (hot water, tv, a/c). The mosque next door wakes you up quite early but this didn`t disturb me. The hotel is placed conveniently in the center but away from the fancy hotels, so food is very cheap in the restaurants next door (breakfast is not possible in the hotel). You are one minute of walking away from the beach. Downside was that I had some troubles finding it in the beginning, because it is tucked away in a dead end street. I advise it to anyone on a budget who appreciates nice staff and a...
