Could be very interesting but all of the displays were exclusively in the Kazakh language and neither the QR codes or electric screen worked, so as an English/Russian speaker, you don’t get much from the experience. You can pay 2000kzt for the guide to give you a tour which I’m sure would be great because he was very friendly and knowledgeable, but he was busy when I arrived, and it feels a bit of a scam to have to pay on top of the ticket price (and foreigners are charged more in the first place).

Если вы даже живете в Алматы, но не были в этом прекрасном месте, советую вам посетить Дом-музей Ахмета Байтурсынова, казахского просветителя, ученого, лингвиста, одного из основателя Алаш, автора первых учебников и алфавита казахского языка, прошедшего ад сталинских репрессий и пыток, растрелян в 1937 году, как и почти вся казахская элита-интеллигенция. Прекрасная экспозиция в музее. Сходите с детьми. Очень интересно.
