Uhuru Garden in Mombasa along Moi Avenue is a public rest place where individuals and families come and enjoy themselves under big baobab trees.
It boasts beautiful trees and plants, many of which blossom wonderfully during the rainy season.
The gardens are located near a large, modern Islamic center, around which you will see many of the town’s Muslim population in traditional dress.
The park requires refurbishment to make it attractive.Uhuru fountain is dry with only a map of Africa visible from far in absence of a beautiful fountain that was there before. It requires a facelift to make it a nice and enjoyable place to visit as you enjoy a serene environment with the Pembe ya Ndovu just adjacent.
Mostly on weekends you will see several people visiting the park, from preachers to those enjoying the cold breeze from the nearby big baobab trees.
When you look up the branches of baobab trees ,you will realize that there are numerous bats hanging upside down from there. The sound they produce makes you have a short snap of sleep.
Nice place to visit...

The creator put Adam and Eve in the garden of eden, he didn't tell them to keep off grass! The Holy book shows at Genesis 1:29, 2:8-9,15-16. The creator has future promise for us that He will soon restore the lost paradise for everyone in the new world please read The creator's promise in the Holy book at Isaiah 65: 21-22. Even in the Holy Quran we read the same in surah 21, Al-Anbiya (The Prophets), verse 105. Compare surah 39, Al-Zumar, (The Hordes),...
