Grīziņkalns Park — Attraction in Riga

A nice walking park with a few some unudual statues and pathways. Not far from where we stayed so it was pleasant place to end the day and start an early morning walk. Lovely park. Loads of broad leaf trees, which give ample shade in hot summer days. There is a nice playground for little kids. There is also a dog training ground fenced off. During the winter when it snows, the sides of the hill make for awesome sledding ramps. It is located at one of the edges of the centre of Riga, close to the Purvciems and Mežciems suburbs. Great place with lots of nice benches, and some nice dog parks. The entire area has a nice path that can be used for jogging, and you can make variations by choosing any of the uphill/downhill paths.
