This place is discusting...It has the potential to be a beautiful beach, if people that went would stop throwing their garbage there. Shame on the lebanese for being so careless for their country.

The poor complain that this is the last public beach in beirut, they dont deserve any beach if they treat it like theyr own personal dump. They should just privatize the beach it would be better off environmentally.

I had to stop my 1 yr old daughter from playing with cigarette butts and aged plastic almost every 30 seconds.

I really hope the people that come here smarten up, if they dont i hope they privatize the beach and put a resort on it.

The carelessness is what is wrong with Lebanon.

By the way it probably wouldnt be a bad idea if the government invested in showers and renovated the changing areas. It looks and smells like hell. Add some garbage and recycle bins dont just put 3 rusted oil drums..its 2019 not the medieval times. So...

Simply wonderful. One of the most magnificent coasts of Lebanon. A majestic place to spend time with your family, just try to be there before the sunset to witness the some beautifull sceneries. And also to avoid crowds or unpleasant confrontations. It's also very sad to see non responsible people spreading their garbage everywhere, but we still have hope when we see lots of efforts and volunteering activities to clean and preserve the beautiful beach. We start form ourselves, me and my family are going to help keep this and other beach clean, to spread awareness about cleanliness form personal level to the nation level. Good 👍 الرملة البيضاء هو شاطئ عام على ساحل مدينة بيروت, العاصمة اللبنانية. يقع على الطرف الجنوبي من كورنيش بيروت حيث شارع الجنرال ديغول يلتقي بشارع رفيق الحريري وينتهي في شارع فنزويلا. على الرغم من وجوده في منطقة المصيطبة بالقرب من منطقة  رأس بيروت الراقية، الا أن معظم رواده من سكان بيروت والضاحية الجنوبية ذوي الدخل المنخفض. الشاطئ هو أيضا شعبي هو حزام من الرمال تمتد من جنوب منطقة الروشة وحتى منطقة خلدة. كان يمتد لأكثر من عشرة كيلومترات متواصلة تقطعها بعض الصخور الرسوبية يعود تاريخها للعصر الحجري. تظهر بعض الصور المأخوذة عام 1939 أن رمال الشاطيئ كانت تصل لناحية لمنطقة الطريق الجديدة الأ أن العمران خدها إلى شريط ضيق لا يصل أكثر من منطقة الأوزاعي. يتشكل شاطئ الرملة البيضاء من الرمال البحرية المترسبة قرب أو على قاعدة صخرية كما هو واضح على الجهتين الشمالية والجنوبية، تشكل هذه المنطقة نظاماً متكاملاً للكثير من الكائنات البحرية، وأهمها السلحفاة البحرية والسرطان الرملي التي هي مهددة بالانقراض نتيجة التدمير إضافة إلى كونها مكاناً لتكاثر بعض الأصداف. للشاطئ أهمية تاريخية وبخاصة خلال الصراع العربي الإسرائيلي والحرب الأهلية اللبنانية. في 10 أبريل 1973 ، قامت وحدة كوماندوس من البحرية الإسرائيلية  التي هبطت في منطقة  الدورة لاغتيال المسؤولين في منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية، محمد النجار، كمال عدوان وكمال ناصر غدرت من منطقة الرملة البيضا. في 16 حزيران / يونيه 1976 وجدتجثة فرنسيس إدوارد ميلوي، سفير الولايات المتحدة في لبنان. في عام 1983 قامت جماعة إرهابية يعتقد أنها مدعومة من إيران، بتفجير ثكنة قوات حفظ السلام الفرنسية التي كانت تتمركز على بعد أربعة أميال من الشاطئ. وقد أسفر الهجوم عن مقتل 58...
