Scenic place with interesting things. Kids play items like climbing, seesaw , slides etc are spread across. There is a gigantic bull at one of the view points...it resembled baahubali bull. The open auditorium of songs is in ruins, but its tear down state is helpful in estimating those yester years with significance. There are two entrances for the park from both sides of two different roads. Going during weekdays could be scary if there are no people around(as the trees are thick). 💘d the place

Kauno ąžuolynas – tai kitados Nemuno ir Neries santakoje augusių ąžuolynų, nusidriekusių iki Varluvos, Karmėlavos, Rumšiškių ir Kaišiadorių girių, palikimas. Tuometinis ąžuolynas, kaip ir kitos Lietuvą puošusios girios buvo stipriai praretintos XIV – XVI a. Vakarų Europoje padidėjus laivų, namų, pilių bei tiltų statybai naudojamos medienos paklausai. Vėliau užklupę karai ir juos lydėję bado bei maro laikotarpiai kiek pristabdė girių kirtimą. 1887 m. prasidėjusi Kauno tvirtovės statyba tarsi davė pradžią naujam Kauną supančių miškų retinimo etapui, kuris tęsėsi karų ir okupacijų metu. Dabar iš Nemuno ir Neries santakoje plytėjusio ąžuolyno beliko menki, išretėję ir išsibarstę likučiai, kurių didžiausias ir yra Kauno ąžuolynas, kurio plotas sudaro 84,42 ha. Čia taip pat rasite ir Kauno miesto simbolį - Taurą bei pasivaikščioti poeto Adomo Mickevičiaus slėniu. Parkas suskirstytas į atskiras teritorijas. Kiekvienas jo kampelis kitoks, tai tikrai rasite ir sau mielą vietelę pasėdėti, pamąstyti.

The Oakwood Park is a fantastic place. It is amazing how we would be in the middle of the city but feeling deep in the countryside. It's a wonderful place to have a walk or to run. I was here in Spring but, in the full winter, when everything is covered by the snow, it must be incredible.

Old oak park in the city center. Great place to spent afternoon with family: there is children playground, outdoor gym and many pathways for long walks. Also there is zoo nearby. Azuolynas is home for such animals like bats, squirels and hedgehogs and many more birds.
