Very beautiful Catholic cathedral. The building looks far more modern than it actually is. The paintings and artwork are stunning, loved the ceiling fresco. There was a lot of construction work taking place in the grounds when we visited today but the cathedral is still open. Note: We used Google maps to navigate our way, on foot, to the cathedral and ended up in the cathedral cemetery - a 36 minute walk from the bus station! Just be careful not to make the same mistake. The cemetery is. however a peaceful and lovely place!

Nuostabaus grožio Kristaus Karaliaus Katedra. Nuostabūs - Didysis ir šoniniai altoriai. Gražiai dekoruotos lubos. Visa kuria didingumo ir šventiškumo įspūdį. Gražiai sutvarkyta aplinka. Birželio 14 d. Vyko istorinis įvykis - iškilmingas renginys ir iškilmingos Šv. Mišios, skirtos Dievo tarnui Alfonsui Lipniūnui. Renginyje dalyvavo keli vyskupai, kunigai iš visų Panevėžio vyskupijos dekanatų. Jam pastatytas puikus paminklas Bažnyčios šventoriuje.

It is comfortably warm inside at the winter time and midday masses are not so long as they used to be. Altar is always decorated with fresh flowers, and sound system is good as well. Finally, building exterior is...
