No entrance fee at all BUT parking, oh boy... parking is a major pain in the butt here. Super-crowded with people of all ages (kids to old folks). So, cars just take up every inch of the available spots!
Hiking up is a slow gradual climb. Not very steep. Lots of space and flat grounds. So, don't be surprise to see some wearing slippers. It is doable but I'd still suggest against it because there a quite a number of slippery paths due to rainy weather of the previous day.
Going up though, there are 2 pathways. Recommend to take the shorter one as it is faster to the top. But it's a little challenging. The other pathway is much longer but easier. Watch out for poop! Man, there's a lot of it. Partly due to people bringing their pets along (not complaining, love to see folks bring their pooches!) and boars in the area.
So yeah, we took the short route up and took the long one down. And glad we did! Because the long pathway had a beautiful, welcoming view that we came across (see the city overview pictures).
The whole area was clear of rubbish. Right at the top is just this umbrellas set up. And surprisingly, there's a makeshift gym up there (damn). But it was so crowded when we went and so didn't hang around long and just proceeded straight ahead to the other route to climb down.
All-in-all, I feel it's a great hiking spot for beginners. It's light compared to others like Kembara hill and Gasing. So, definitely recommend!! Though, best to go on non-crowded days like weekdays (if you can). So, you can...

I recently had a wonderful time at Ketumbar Hill. It's a great spot for people of all ages, including kids and the elderly. The highlight was the fantastic view of KLCC and Kuala Lumpur from the hilltop. The breeze up there was refreshing, making the whole experience even better.
The hill seems to be a popular spot for hikers, and I noticed many fellow enthusiasts during my visit. The trail features staircases and ropes at certain points, adding a touch of adventure to the hike.
What made this hike unique was the choice to take a different route on the way up and down. It allowed me to explore various paths and interact with fellow hikers along the way.
A highlight of the visit was the option to enjoy fresh fruits or fruit drinks at a fruit stall downstairs. It was a perfect way to unwind after the hike.
Overall, hiking at Ketumbar Hill was quite a challenge, and I couldn't help but notice some rather large mosquitoes buzzing around. However, the stunning views and the camaraderie among fellow hikers made it all worthwhile. If you're up for an enjoyable challenge and some scenic vistas, I highly recommend checking out...
Read moreLove the trail here...plenty of options and paths that you can explore. Depending on your fitness level, you can pick the steeper or gentler trails. Regardless, if you go at your own pace, you will enjoy this place as the trees here are old and some are really huge and magnificent. Watch out for some highlights that should not be missed...of course the pack of friendly wildboars is top of the list, remember to bring some food for them e.g nangka/cempedak/durian seeds, sweet potatoes are good options. The rest of the highlights are the gorgeous trees, huge golden nugget stone, halfway point view, 'pride rock', view over the nearly completed 'pancake' highway, the huge giant slope and the top of hill where you have human, dogs, sometimes wild boars and monkeys all mingling there, minding their own....At the end of the hike, at the car park, there are stalls selling drinks and fresh fruits that you can chomp down with great satisfaction. Overall a great place to have a great workout, to explore nature and relax...Do remember to bring some light snacks and lots of water along coz to cover all the above highlights, you need at least 3.5 hours i.e at a...
