One of the daunting task when dining out with the family was to find a restaurant that can actually fit more than 10 of us - 15 or 16 to be exact. If they have table big enough for whole group it'd be great; but we don't mind sitting separate table.
Fish Market Restaurant is part of Moon Palace group (Puchong). And the concept is similar to Unique Seafood which is one of my favourite seafood restaurants in PJ. One can actually choose from countless tanks containing various seafoods on display and they'll cook for you.
Take your pick from lobster to geoduck, large mud crab to Alaskan king crab, etc.. the possibility is limitless depending on the thickness of the wallet 🤣
◾roast duck - surprise surprise because the duck was actually quite delicious with glistening and crispy skin + that moist juicy meat. ◾steamed prawns in bamboo basket - nothing beats eating the crustaceans in their original flavour. ◾Salted egg squid - crunchy and savoury + sweet.. everyone's favorite. ◾honey chicken - the white & black sesame on the meat made the dish looked pretty, but it also tasted pretty. ◾sweet & sour chicken - kids' choice of meat everytime. ◾charcoal beancurd with minced meat - generous amount of minced meat smothered the black-ish charcoal. ◾steamed Chinese omelette with prawns ◾siong tong yin choy ◾stir fried various vegetables with crunchy almond ◾Fried rice with tobiko - packed with won hei and topped with the bright orange roe for that colour appeal. ◾Stir fried vermicelli - couldn't resist stealing two three scoop as the aroma was inviting.. flavour hit the spot! ◾desserts - deep fried Chinese pastry + mango & pomelo sago + tree gum & longan dessert
Parking is limited in front but they have a fairly spacious parking lot at the back of...
Read moreThe food taste is good. The fish is fresh. Only side back is the service. We ordered Curry mixed vege, stir fry kailan with beef slice, steam fish, salted egg squid, London duck, signature fried rice, lala, charcoal doufu. All dishes served in good condition except charcoal doufu and stir fry kailan with beef. We sent reminder to waiters. The foreign waiter doesn't understand. We asked for the waitress who took our order. She told us she will check. Another 10 minutes has gone, we finished all our meals and the doufu and kailan still haven reached. We asked the waitress again, and she said kitchen is preparing now. We feel disappointed and cancelled the two dishes and paid the bills.
I would like to highlight few points here;
First, pls train yr waitress or waiter who took order to always repeat orders with customers before sent to kitchen.
Second, pls train all waiter and waitress in regards of local or foreigner. We told them still two dishes haven arrived but they keep on asking we want to add order is it?????
Third, every table should at least have an order list and marked dishes has been served so you can counter check which dishes haven't arrived.
Pls be informed that we cancelled the two dishes even though you informed us the food are in the kitchen in the middle of preparing, we cancelled because the chain of food arrived is broken and it is upsetting to sit down waiting for another two dishes.
The two dishes which haven arrived are normal and simple food, which is doufu and stir fry kailan with beef slice.
We can't accept the food is in the midst of preparing, Afterall these two dishes I don't seem any hard...
Read moreHeard about this place which supposedly served freash seafood in Jalan Kuari a few months back. Finally went there on Chap Goh Mei (15th day of Chinese New Year). Suprised to find the restaurant on the right on the main road of Jalan Kuari itself. Seemed a bit out of place though amongst the more older shops on the same street. Our group of 13 booked a spacious room amd on arrival began to choosr our choice of seafood. Started off with 2 fresh oysters for each person and it was sweet and succulent. Had their live prawns which was just boiled and it tastes good with some simple condiments. Their clam soup was just as good. Next came their "soon hock" fish which at about 1.5kg was nicely steamed. Their dried fried salt and chilli crab is also quite good but portion bit small for our group.The asparagus with a hint of spiciness is not bad but seemed a bit overcooked.Also ordered 2 servings of deep fried fish skin which is quite OK. Then came their fried rice with fish roe which was a hit among our group cause it's done just right with fluffy rice and not oily at all.The place is clean and service is prompt. All in the meal with chinese tea and water and ice costs RM2,000.00 whilst not cheap is quite reasonable for the...
