One of the most beautiful temples of Batu Pahat, Si Hai Long Wang Temple is conveniently located just 2 km from the city centre. Its location beside Batu Pahat River makes it a picturesque temple. There is a sense of serenity as you walk on the temple grounds and look towards the river and its surroundings. I even managed to spot a white-looking crocodile on the riverbank.
This is not a typical Chinese temple as there are many deities under its roof. The deities, in many forms, such as White Crocodile, Laughing Buddha and Toad King were colourfully painted.
The main highlight of this temple is the God of Love & Marriage. Besides health and wealth, devotees come here to seek for love and hope of finding a partner and getting married.

Read moreFirst time visiting temples in Batu Pahat and I am glad we are fated to visit this one. Once I got out of my car, I feel at peace with myself although the happenings this morning was making me “boil” inside. A quick walk around the temple revealed very friendly helpers at the temple. Got ourselves the incense and paper offering and started prayers at every deities’ urn.
Will definitely come back again the next time we are in BP, even just to take couple steps...
