Racing at Morac Adventure Park, SUPPOSEDLY known as the “#1 International Track in Malaysia” was utterly disappointing. They’re not only expensive (we didn't mind paying if they actually lived up to their "International Standards") but also lack proper customer service ethics and most importantly, they DO NOT maintain their karts and have no proper SOPs in place.
There were 6 of us who went for the Grand Prix session which cost RM230/pax, and to our dismay, not only one, but TWO karts malfunctioned halfway during the final race (mine & my friends’ kart). My kart experienced a mechanical failure in which the petrol stopped pumping into the engine which caused the kart to die off mid-race, while my friends’ kart ran out of petrol! These people made us wait 10 minutes before the final race because they apparently needed to “get the karts ready”, but they couldn’t even fill up the petrol tank?! What were they doing during these 10 minutes? Plucking flowers or having tea?!
They also have ZERO SOPs in place. When our karts stopped midway in the middle of the track, no one came to our aid until a very long time (the other karts had already lapped us many times) and there were no yellow flags to warn the other drivers who were still in the race to slow down which was EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!!
They gave us 2 replacement karts which were WAY BETTER than the first 2 karts. Makes me wonder what they were keeping these 2 perfectly performing karts for instead of letting us use these from the start of the race. Anyway, the whole race was a waste because it took centuries for them to give us the new karts.
We tried speaking to the “so-called MANAGER/PIC” about the issue, but he kept saying “write us an email” and “things happen”. Why should I write an email when I’m already speaking to the person in charge? He only came up with a RIDICULOUS solution which was to let the 2 malfunctioned kart drivers ride for 10 minutes on the track, which we did not accept because we went there to RACE AS A GROUP, not for two people to play in circles! We requested a refund and after a long debate, we got RM75 back (calculated based on the total time the 2 karts were off the track, which in my opinion, doesn’t carry any weight because the whole “racing as a group experience” was RUINED!). Horrible experience. Waste of money. Waste of time. Nothing “International” about this circuit AT ALL! Can race in KL happily for...
Read morePowerr!!!! Is the word to explain what this place has got to offer!! I am pretty hyped myself seeing this while driving along the road to my destination. And thus decided to srop by for a little fun ;P
Nothing beats an adrenaline rush of racing. The fact that this place exists means that the island of Langkawi has lots to offer, not just for locals but for tourists as well.
Lets start by trying to get into this place. To enter, you will need to make sure u keep a sharp eye on the road. Depending on where u come from, the entrance is the same but do be slow n careful. The entrance is at a bend, which means u may get urslf in trouble if you dont use the roads with proper signals and slowing down in time.
Once you are in the access road, drive towards d main building and park near it. Walk towards d center and enter. This is where d reception is and they will provide helmets n safety gears for use, once u do meet d criteria. Do see pictures attached ya.
Its a great feeling when u see d tarmac and karts lined up. Do note that these karts are not your usual slow karts u ride in Sg. These are 250cc karts that go by in a flash. To ensure that you get the best experience, its best that you follow ALL safety aspects. There is an obvious height limit plus an advise that is not listed, but verbally said, "Pls be very responsible with the machine when you are on the track". That sentence means alot, dont u think so.
So ya, just sharing how fun d experience is, especially when u get the win whizzing by u on d circuit track. Enjoy!!
Cheers!!!

Read moreCongratulations on your newly refreshed surroundings and refurbished track.
I was so excited to try your new fresh track but was unwelcomed by the lady receptionist/cashier. She looked at me(with a strange face) up and down when we entered the premises as if i was at the wrong place. Her body language was not suitable to be on the front line(need to be briefed/trained) even for a normal quick registration and payment.
Price per 10 minutes session was rm75. If more than one session you book, some very small discount given. Personally it is on the overpriced side. For the speed and quality of the my cart, it was pricey. What i had was the new go-kart but maybe with the least quality of maintenance. The same goes for my brother in law. Steerings were shaky and car not going straight.
But for the fun and joy of driving and racing especially on the new surface, i would say it was a great experience.
Lighting on some corners (night session) need some improvement. With my bad visor it further deteriorated my night vision/view on some turns.
Drivers should be arranged to the suitable seat size. Too big in size are hazardous to the ribs when cornering fast while being too small off course would cause uncomfortable and hazardous seating. At least let the drivers choose the seat/cart. Motorsport is all about safety first.
Overall on the new facilities are quite a big improvement over the old...
