Quite a large stadium with usual sporting facilities. Many of the nation’s sports federations are located here and have a Representative office/space. A nice complex which encompasses Sports and administration. There are gyms and training areas allocated as well as the usual competition areas for many different sports. A very good idea for centralisation of many activities. A good place to have a walk and jog. Got a food truck so food is accessible. Got a skateboard place, and a swing and slide for kids. suitable for family leisure and it also got an updated equipment for exercising. Pretty much is a place where you can have a date with your partner n family I can run after work at Bukit Jalil stadium's compare to Bukit Jalil Park which will close and less lighting . Bukit Jalil Stadium's having a nice running track as well. Besides running track there's Cycling track as well. Kids friendly, may bring kid's over for morning or evening walk or Cycling. There's security guard around the stadium. LRT station just a walking distance. (Star line - Bukit Jalil) Little history given below- It was officially inaugurated by the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, on 1 January 1998 ahead of the 1998 Commonwealth Games and staged the opening ceremony.3 Since then, it has also became the main venue for other international multi-sport events such as the 2001 Southeast Asian Gamesand the 2017 Southeast Asian Games,[6] and nowadays host most Malaysian international football matches, national level football competition finals such as the Malaysia FA Cup, Malaysia Cup, athletic events and music concerts.
It was built alongside other sport venues in the National Sports Complex by United Engineers Malaysia, and designed by Arkitek FAA, Weidleplan Consulting GMBH and Schlaich Bergermann Partner. A membrane structure is used for the roof, and the most of the materials used were reinforced concrete.[7] Before the stadium was opened, Stadium Merdeka was the national stadium of Malaysia.
The stadium, along with the National Sports Complex, is currently undergoing a major renovation at a combined cost of RM1.34 billion[8]as a part of KL Sports City project in 2 phases. Project 1 (Phase 1) has been completed ahead and for the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, with a new populous-designed facade that covers the exterior of the stadium with twisted vertical louvres which are also LED-lighted,[9] as well as recolouring the seats to a yellow-black design and upgraded facilities. After the 2017 ASEAN Para Games, Project 2 (Phase 2) will commence, and will add a retractable roof, retractable seats, comfort ventilation and new sports and...
Read moreUpdate: 2nd dose done 🎉 I could only echo myself on the smooth process... However, this time it was a bit crowded, there was a queue to enter the stadium, then once you enter they ask to wait outside the jab station. This is because now both dose 1 and dose 2 people are there to get administered ,last time it was mostly dose 1 only.
Rest of the process remains the same, well managed.
Thankful to Malaysia for this vaccination drive ☺️.
Came here for my vaccination (1st dose), so nothing much to say about the stadium itself other than its cleanliness and ample of parking spaces (couldn't really explore anything else, poor me), but many things to say about the vaccination program to help you in someway. I would say the whole process was pretty well managed and briefly it goes as below: 1.Park your car and enter the stadium. 2.Proceed towards your HOC (A/B/C), there are many staffs willing to guide you, if you have any trouble. 3.After a little bit of walking, once you reach your destination, they give you a form which you need to fill and sign once you are inside the jab station. Again a little bit of walking and you get your token at the Jab station entry point. Then you wait for your turn (approx. 5 mins), goto the alloted desk (token numbers appear on the TV screen), fill the form. Proceed to the next section, again wait for ~5 minutes, then sign the form Infront of doctor. Proceed to the next - Jab section, again wait for your turn ~5 mins and get your jab , voilà! you got your 1st jab. Next proceed to the observation section, submit the form, wait for a few minutes and you will get your next dose appointment. Now they will ask you sit for some time ~15 mins to observe any side effects. After the given observation time, you can leave the hall and get out of the station.
This is purely based on my experience, it was very smooth, it took only 15 mins to get my 1st dose.
Don't forget to carry your Passport/IC and phone(ensure your mobile network works as you'll require mysejahtera app), of course.

Read moreBukit Jalil National Stadium in Bukit Jalil, is oen of several stadiums inside the National Sports Complex in Bukit Jalil. I have never attended any sports event. I only know the roads leading to the stadiums usually become congested due to event being held there.
However, i am giving a 5 starts to this location because of what it is to someone who have the priviledge to enjoy the facilities outside of the stadium.
There is a Commonwealth Garden opposite the sports complex. it is a small hilly Garden, small compare to the Botanical Garden in Penang, big, considering it is located close to not one, but two, now bustling cities - Seri Petaling and Bukit Jalil. One can enjoy the cooling effect trees provided and enjoy a nice 1 hour walks up and down the very steep hilly garden path while enjoy the bird's chirping even when it is 12 pm in the afternoon. This garden is handicap accessible all the way to the top of the flag post, which is also a vista point where one can enjoy the full view of the award winning Sport Complexes across the Garden.
There is a jogging track surround the sport complexes, everyone can use this for exercising. whether one choose to walk, jog, cycle or skateboarding. Save because the path is not accessible by vehicles.
Within the grounds of the Sport complexes and outside of the stadiums itself were built a skateboarding facilitie.
The Aquatic Arena is open to public for swim
Bukit Jalil is within walking distance for the residence nearby, not only that, it has a LRT station right next to it.
A mosque is also provided right next to the LRT station.
Public toilets and showers are available as well.
River Midah running next to the Sports Complex also serves as a favourite fishing spot for some, but I would not recommended this activity until the river has been clean up properly. However there can be seen several species of birds feeding along this river. which make the walks even more enjoyable.
I guess a 5 stars isn't over rating this place. I hope everyone can enjoy the facilities and not let it go to waste and lead a...
