We arrived from Tanah Rata on foot using jungle trails 10 and 6. The tea plantations are worth a visit despite being a bit tacky/gimmicky in places. We paid with a 10RM note at a checkpoint next to tea house 1 and were only given 1RM note change instead of 2. Not sure if this was a scam by the personnel working as I find it hard to believe that he didn't have another 1RM in change to give if he is collecting admission fees. I appreciate it is a very small amount of money but the principle was annoying when you see how much money the company is raking in from tourists and his proximity to the tea house to seek more change. We enjoyed a tea in tea house 1 and were glad we chose here rather than the much larger and busier tea house 2. I would recommend avoiding eating here if possible as the food didn't look great and they had run out of half the options...
