the 2 locker staffs need to improve, very not friendly, we rented cheapest locker offered at rm20, they didnt tie it to ur hand, n didnt tell locker no or section to scan, so i tie the wristband to my mom but it become difficult to scan (barcode still fully visible), so we asked for help but it seems like d staff annoyed with us. this d part that spoiled my mood. rm20 for that kind of facility and service? went there with for teambuilding at same time i also bought additional hotspring and night park ticket for my mom, age 13-60 price rm75 if not mistaken and for mykad holder will get discount become rm64 like that..purchased it online at their official website. i think if u stay at their hotel u will get another 35% discount and breakfast voucher..the parking is rm1 per entry and free if u stay at d hotel. they said got 14 pool with different depth, temperature n function eg for soaking ur body and foot spa. u can wear anything other than cotton to enter d pool. if u dont have any d souvenir shop at d entrace sell some of them at affordable prices especially one with their logo. got petting area with lots of cute animal only that u need to bare d smell of d nature. not to forget d fire n laser show very exciting and entertaining. after show u can snap picture with them and they will help to snap picture using ur phone for free and dslr with rm50 charge for 1big photo and 2 regular photos (incl. paper frame). u may also interested to walk around luminous forrest where have moving tree and centipedes and ur picture will be more wonderful if u wear white or fluorescent color shirt. hotel price around rm200++/night. d hotel very wide n comfortable to bring in family together. the heater is good, toothbrush, shower gel, shampoo provided n shower cap provided. the aircond comfortable. tv can access to several channel. but its not sound proof, easily can hear somebody gossip in other room. still u will have sounded sleep after all activities u did there. u need cross d road to get to theme park from hotel but got friendly staff that will take care of ur safety. breakfast also located near d themepark. buffet style, eat what u can from 7.30-10am like that. nasi lemak, porridge, soup, toast, cereal all there. other staffs and marshall are nice and friendly. only d two locker guy. we also made mistake but theres better way to solve.

The Hotel was nice and the staff friendly, our room was large and had a view of the amusement park and the lush green hills. When we first arrived we were hungry, I asked if there was a restaurant, I was told to go over to the area where the amusement park is. We went there and were told that you could only eat there if you paid admission to the park! We went back to the front desk and asked if there was somewhere nearby where we could eat, they said we could order room service. I asked if there was a restaurant close by. We were told no, then someone said that there was a McDonalds down the street, I didn't really want McDonalds and asked if there was something a little better than McDonalds. We were told no (this ended up not being true). We ended up walking to McDonalds. The next morning we went to the included buffet breakfast, it's held at the restaurant for the amusement park before the park opens. The food served seems to be geared towards locals, it didn't appeal to me or my Thai wife so we only ate there once during our stay, I had Tater Tots and "Toast", the toaster produced warm bread, not toast. After "breakfast" we took a walk and discovered several places to eat nearby. If you exit the lobby and turn left you will get to a main road, look across the street slightly to the right, you will see some structures over there, several of them are restaurants. If you turn right at the main road and take a short walk you will find a Subway sandwich place and an A&W Restaurant, fast food I know but at least it's not McDonalds. We ate at A&W, it was okay. We also purchased sandwiches at Subway to bring back with us to the hotel since there is nothing to eat except for room service. Wi-Fi was very sporadic, most of the time it just didn't work at all, I tried it in the lobby but it didn't work there either. I reported it a couple of times but it never got fixed.

Overall we’re quite satisfy with our hotel stays @ Sunway Tambun Lost World Hotel as it’s right in front of the theme park. The hotel rates offered with breakfast is nothing to shout about since it’s very standard. There’s parking spaces located beside the hotel, out door car park spaces as well as behind the hotel.. one need to check in the hotel @ the front desk and deposit the luggage @ the hotel lobby, then only proceed to parking your car. The hotel breakfast is located at the restaurant opposite the hotel, and beside the theme park entrance as you need to walk a distance. The choices of food very local dishes and definitely got room for improvement for Sunway group of hotels standard. All hotel guests are reminded to bring along your own swimming gear upon entrance to the theme park night hot spring and spa with various kind of pools for adults and children. We didn’t checkout the changing area cum shower places as such we couldn’t comments much, but we did observed during busy periods patrons have to que up for entering the shower and washing up areas, something to take note for those who patronise the theme park for the first time. Good to bring along some home cooked food as F&B outlets only located within the theme park, which can be quite expensive and may not be as tasty as one expected for those who are fussy about food quality and portion. If ever we return to this hotel in the future we’ll be better prepared indeed.

Went on a short holiday with family and encountered many annoyances on this trip that I was planning on letting slide until we had breakfast. 1. First off, the shower took super long to heat up, then the drain was plugged and shower flooded. 2. We couldn't call operator because the phone was not working. 3. Good thing is they sent maintenence over pretty quickly, buy housekeeping refused to give us an extra towel. 4. The walls were super thin and we could hear all the neighbours kids screaming and crying all through the night. 5. When we looked up, we could see the ceiling was patched poorly, and vents were all open for some reason. 6. It rained heavily during night park. We went in at 6pm and only managed to go on one slide before it started pouring. We were not allowed to swim, nor allowed to leave and go back in later either. Basically, it was a wasted trip as those tickets were burn. 8. Breakfast is at the park, not hotel area, so you need to enter via the same theme park queue which was so long when we went on Sunday. 9. Breaking point was how dirty all the bowls and cutlery were. 10. They had an egg station and we were given raw eggs. This place is a mess in terms of facilities and service. Overall the experience (especially during breakfast) was deeply upsetting. Honestly, would never come again- still getting visions of the disgusting cutlery 🤢🤮

The breakfast area should be more aptly called the Terrace of the Houseflies. The options are limited to “Malayana” food like : nasi lemak, fried beehoon, kueytiao soup, and one or two other stuff along these lines. The hotel itself looks like a row of converted shoplots. Rooms are standard 3 star stuff. Furnishing looks rundown and 90s. Night Park is limited to Hot Springs, Wave Pool, Petting Zoo and Luminous Forest (luminescent paintings and sculptures). Highlight is the fire dancer performance. Day Park has more options and rides. Unbelievable environmental destruction - lots of limestone stalactites and stalagmites have been harvested as decor in the park and surrounding properties. Cliff side trees chopped. Don’t know who approved this site but this site for a theme park of this quality, it would have had so much more potential as a eco-tourist resort, a curated nature park and a high end theme park with a major studio brand. Lots of missed opportunities. With a theme like “Malayana”, should not the zoo and animal displays have more indigenous large mammals of Malay Archipelago origins instead of African Savannah animals which are clearly out of place in a tropical environment? Orang Utans, armadillos, water buffalos, elephants, to name a few.

Update 14 July 2024: Revising to 4 stars after my 2nd stay here. Upon arrival I was greeted by front desk but not in a welcoming way as they did not have my booking despite showing my booking. Good thing the manager was there to sort out the issue but we had to wait 30 minutes to get a room despite arriving at 5pm. Upon entering the room, the experience wasn't as pleasant as before due to: 1. Booked for double room but got twin room instead. 2. Safe box wasn't working. The technician attempted to fix it but it failed to work shortly after. 3. Toilet flush isn't good either, low water pressure. Please consider training your front desk stuff to speak in a more welcoming tone regardless of the problems that appear on the day of arrival. Also, please ensure the rooms are well equipped, having defective safe boxes, toilets isn't acceptable. March 2024 Service - Superb customer service experience. The staff are well trained and wouldn't hesitate to help a customer in need. Room - Meets the standard and expectation. Clean, large rooms. The bed is nice too. Overall my experience here is positive and will consider visiting here again. Cheers
