Shaftsbury Putrajaya — Attraction in Putrajaya

I was initially a bit confused because I know there’s a shopping center in Cyberjaya with the same name, but this one is actually located in Putrajaya — and it was my first time visiting. Overall, it was an interesting experience, with both highlights and areas that could be improved.

First, the decoration and overall design of the mall are quite unique and visually appealing. The interior has a modern and artistic touch that makes it stand out from other shopping centers in the area. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into the aesthetics, and it creates a pleasant atmosphere for visitors.

One of the biggest strengths of this mall is the variety of restaurants available. There are many food outlets to choose from, catering to different tastes and cuisines. When I visited, I noticed long queues forming in front of several restaurants, especially during lunchtime — a clear sign that the place is popular and well-frequented by locals and tourists alike.

However, there are also a few things that I believe could be improved to enhance the overall experience. First, I was surprised to find that the mall doesn’t have a supermarket — something most malls typically include. It would be convenient for shoppers to have access to daily essentials and groceries, especially for those who live nearby or plan longer visits.

Additionally, I noticed there was no designated baby room or nursing area, which can be a challenge for parents with young children. It’s an important facility that many families rely on, and I hope the management considers adding one in the future.

Lastly, the restrooms seemed to be in need of maintenance. While they were functional, they didn’t match the overall standard of the rest of the mall, and some basic repairs and more frequent cleaning would definitely improve visitors’ comfort.

In summary, this shopping center in Putrajaya is definitely worth a visit for its vibrant dining scene and attractive design. However, with a few practical improvements — such as adding a supermarket, better restroom upkeep, and providing family-friendly facilities — it has the potential to become an even more complete and welcoming destination...

On 27 Jan 2024 at 11 am i was attending a wedding at Shaftsbury Putrajaya.

There was a group conducting exercises with music on inside the mall. Its good to see people living active lives but they were putting the music on extremely loud. What made it worse was the one leading was holding a microphone and screaming and pushing the other participants every few seconds and it was overwhelming and even rude as she was oblivious to her surroundings.

They should be considerate as there were a few weddings being held at the same time within the mall’s wedding halls.

Even if there were no weddings it was still a painful experience for shoppers to hear the overpowering music and screams.

Do take note and remind future event organisers to be respectful in future.
