Firstly the location of the restaurant is really at the end of the building. You will see McDonald's at one end and keep walking until you reach the other end of the building. It's big with a large dining area which is normal for Arabic restaurants.
Ordered a quarter of Mandi Chicken and Mulawah bread with Ughdah chicken.
Mandi chicken is very good. The rice is nicely flavored and the chicken has a smoky smell and taste compared to other Arab restaurants. But somehow I think the chicken was roasted with lamb as the smoke smell has the smell of lamb but those who like it will love it.
The Ughdah chicken is a little dry but has good taste. It's shredded chicken cooked in spices and NOT spicy. Good for kids. This pairs very well with Mulawah bread which I simply adore.
The Mulawah bread is large. Enough for 3-4 people. It's similar to roti canai except it's not oily and it has black sesame seeds. The very same bread I had as a kid in Mecca after Subuh prayers. Street food vendors would have this freshly baked and wrapped it in a piece of paper either folded or rolled and it's the most amazing food to have in the cold morning. Paired with a small glass of hot sweet tea. Nothing feels as good in your arms as a warm large piece of excellent bread.
Although the bread looks very simple and dry, it's very soft and delicious. The ingredients used are superb and you can just eat it on its own.
The service was good and staff was attentive and friendly and the price was very affordable compared to some other Arabic restaurants I just had to wonder why they have Chinese food as well. I understand the Western but Chinese?
I have to try other dishes from this place because if the rest is as good as what I had ordered, then it may end up as one of my favourite lists of...
Read moreMade reservation indicate 1 customer is wheelchair bound and 1 baby chair. Was given two adjoining round table in the center on the restaurant which was uncomfortable and difficult to push a wheelchair. I had to take the baby chair and sanitise it myself (i still didn't make any noise as I understood the situation that the employees were busy due to so many customer)
My father try to change table (who is handicap), 1 waiter immediately wanted to chase us away from that table ( unknowingly it was a special table overlooking the lake, honest mistake on our side). Since my father was already seated, I humbly request the waiter please let us continue to sit because it will create an inconvenience to my father, unfortunately the waiter (restaurant) did not want to accommodate. Instead they ask us to move to a different rectangle table
I politely told the waiter you have no sense of humanity. Waiter responded " be nice or please ( show me the door)". If it wasn't for my father and and my toddler I surely would have walk away.
While dining, requested for water. It took a long time for us to get the water (request 3 times). I had to stop eating and went out to the nearest pharmacy to purchase 2 bottles of water.
Before i left, I politely express my frustration to the manager ( fortunately, he show his emphatic side)
A. While we were dining, the round table we forego was split into two and gave opportunity to other customers to dine (more revenue for the restaurant).
B. For 1 hour table overlooking the lake was empty.
C. If you can't handle the volume, then limit your tables, dont be greedy.
1 star is for the food...
Read moreThis was my first time visiting the restaurant, and I must say, it was a truly enjoyable and memorable experience from start to finish. As someone who appreciates Middle Eastern cuisine, I was eager to try a variety of dishes — and this place did not disappoint.
I ordered the Chicken Mandi, Lamb Mandi, and Chicken Haneth. Each dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and served with perfectly cooked rice. The meat was tender, juicy, and aromatic, especially the lamb — it practically melted in my mouth. The portion sizes were generous, and everything tasted freshly made with authentic spices.
The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout the entire meal. They genuinely seemed happy to serve and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s always refreshing to be treated with kindness and warmth, especially on a first visit.
I also really appreciated their ordering system — it was simple, efficient, and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. You could tell the restaurant is well-organized and customer-focused.
As for the ambiance, the interior design stood out in the best way. The decor was elegant, clean, and had a unique style that added to the dining atmosphere without being overwhelming. It felt cozy yet spacious, a great place for both casual meals and special occasions.
Overall, I was very impressed and satisfied. I’m definitely planning to come back and try more dishes soon. Highly recommended for anyone who loves rich flavors, great service, and a comfortable...
