Golden Sunset, this is what I would like to call this place. Golden Bay is a perfect place to end summer evenings with an amazing sunset as the backdrop. Small but lovely place to spend beach time with family and friends. Located just below Radisson Blu sands. One of very few sandy beaches in Malta with horizon view ( which otherwise might get obstructed with personal boats and yachts being parked). Get your music, speakers, barbeque sets whatever you like and merry time. Munchies restaurant right on the beach offers food varieties ( non veg, salads, burgers, pizza, sandwich but limited veg options) at reasonable prices and delectable , just in case you don't want the headache to bring your own food (unless you prefer) or worry about not getting food options. Ample paid parking space available in case you want to drive down. Decent bus options available from different parts of Malta. Public toilets as well available. All in all, must visit if you are in Malta.

The beach itself is nice. Watch out for jelly fish and some debris but overall it's quite clean with nice sand. The water is such a beautiful blue. We went in the winter (february) so it was too cold to swim but the sun made it lovely to hang out on the beach. There is also a restaurant and cafe should you need anything. In my opinion, the best part are the trails accessible from atop of the beach. The view is amazing. The trails are quite easy to walk but if you or your friend have mobility issues, it might be hard with the uneven terrain. We walked from Golden Bay for about two hours along the coast. We took an ecab there (you could also take a bus) so we did not have to return for the car. We are so happy we did this as it allowed us to see spectacular view after spectacular view. If you are looking at the photos, when the white hotels are close, that's Golden Bay. As they get further away, we are further along the in the hike.

We arrived on the very first day of summer and had an absolutely wonderful time. From the moment we got here, we were welcomed by the warm, inviting atmosphere that set the tone for our entire stay. The food has been consistently excellent, offering a variety of delicious options that cater to different tastes. Whether you're in the mood for local cuisine or international dishes, there's something to satisfy every palate. The sand is pristine, soft, and perfect for lounging or building sandcastles, while the sea is incredibly pleasant with its clear, refreshing waters. It's ideal for swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing by the shore. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations and provided a perfect summer getaway. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful beach vacation with great food and beautiful surroundings.

Awesome place with sun bathing arena in sandy beach and natural scenic beauty around. Regularly surfing and bathing place with rest rooms facilities nearby. Anyone can enjoy package like popeye village/blue lagoon/comino Island trip via yatch/tourist boating from here as well. Peaceful comfortable safe and secure environment for friends and families to spend quality times specially kids friendly. Separate BBQ area for picnic lovers. Wide range of sitting facilities are here usually in summer. Coffee house and snacks bar very popular here including "Coffee and Kitchen". Picture perfect sunset images are mind blowing in this part of Malta. Moreover, Radisson Blu 5star hotel is beside the beach with wide private lounge gym and spa facilities and clubbing experience. Large public parking area and regular bus stop routes are near here.

Large sandy beach on the southwest coast of Malta with access to a very clean area of water. During May of 2024 my partner and I took the #44 bus from Valletta to the Golden Bay. The bus ride took about an hour passing through many areas of the island we had not seen. The beach area at Golden Bay is pretty large with a stand to rent umbrellas and lounge chairs for the day. Umbrella was 5 euro and each lounge chair was 7 euro for the day. Not a paid price for the full day. You can rent large paddle boats, kayaks, jet skis and a motorized machine that looked like a dolphin and moved about as fast as the jet ski. Great day at the beach. The beach area was very crowded the day we visited but there was still room for us by the water. Worth a visit, the views are amazing.

Gorgeous beach, accessible via bolt (got a minivan in 5 minutes), sandy beach, the sea was slightly choppy but that’s because its a windy week (we had great fun playing in the sea), there’s a cafe that does great cocktails and food (for a good price) that provides some shade, the sunbeds were €7 each and the umbrella was €5 and they had parrots flying around the beach!!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and found even though windy (providing a nice breeze) the sand did not attack us too much, the lifeguard team saved multiple people - very vigilant, there were some rocks on entry to the water but in some parts avoidable, also the water had seaweed in it (but this was a manageable amount today!), wicked beach would recommend to a friend <3
