Breathtaking place! San Blas Tower, also known as ‘it-Torri ta’ Isopu’, is situated on the cliff between San Blas and Dahlet Qorrot. It was built in 1667 during the reign of Grandmaster Nicholas Cottoner at the expense of the Universita of Gozo. The guns of this Tower opened fire on the French fleet in June 1798, a distinction which no other Tower can claim!

Tiny, but Brilliant baroque watch tower over looking the Mediterranean. Tricky to find, follow road till it ends, take the lower, not obvious path and when that ends keep going. Apparently, it's only open on the first three Sundays of each month.

Nice place for a dog walk. Some of the area has been landscaped. A dog agility course has just been added. Very open space but difficult to know when you’ve actually arrived unless you’re familiar with the area

It's true,it is just one of many view points on ghawdex/gozo,but it is a great one(as they all are :)) I went early in the morning and it was superb. Everything quiet, sun coming out of the sea, morning breeze etc, you know what i mean. You wont regret it.. On the way there, you will suddenly find your self in front of a small maltese naval base(with ramp, flag, check point..) , but don't worry you aren't of their interest :) , they also need a place with good view over the coast ;) ... Just follow the road(going to the right, but just in front of the base) and in 200m...

The tower is like one of the 100,500 abandoned historical buildings scattered all over Malta. You can't shake the impression that despite their age and "historical value," these buildings don't really seem to interest anyone. Most of the time, the landscapes around them are much more beautiful than these neglected and...
