Aquacity Belle Mare Watersports — Attraction in Quatre Cocos

The agency is hopeless. We, a family of four, visited this place 2 months back and it's memory still haunts us.

We booked the tickets for all the three activities (tube ride, undersea walk and parasailinig). Even though the first two sports went smoothly, this was our experience with parasailing.

Since the weather wasn't favourable, initially we were told that parasailinig activity would be cancelled. Naturally, we enquired about the refund and instead of refunding, the people incharge of the activity went back on their word and took us to the parasailing platform.

We were made to sit there on the platform and even before we knew what was happening, a thick rope, which was used to carry the parachute pushed my father and me. It literally threw us into the ocean. Luckily, a minute before this accident, we were given (given- not made to wear) the life jacket which we hadn't even buckled. So there we were, floating in the middle of the ocean without the life jacket fastened.

Since I was thrown near the platform I was lifted up by 2 of the employees. My father, who was thrown far away had to wait for more than 5 minutes to be rescued. And the worst part was that all the employees stood there just staring at the scene, without responding in the right manner.

When we were brought back to the platform, my father and I had few wounds. This was when the employees brought out a rusty old first aid kit, which looked scarier than our experience in the ocean.

Beware of this excursion company: Aquacity Mauritius. My friend and I booked the Ile aux Cerfs-trip with them and, since we were only alone that day and there were no other participants, were just passed from one "foreign" boat to another without any real supervision from an Aquacity employee. And the best part was that we were told right at the beginning that unfortunately we couldn't go to the GRSE waterfall today because the waves were so high (the weather was beautiful that day and the sea was calm, and since when are there waves on a river?). My friend and I then went home by car to the upper entrance of the waterfall and climbed down and have seen that very well excursion boats are at the lower end of the waterfall. So that was just a lousy excuse from Aquacity because it wasn't worth it to them to go to the waterfall with only 2 people.... And right after our vacation I wrote them a complaint and demanded a part of the money back for the non-rendered services, there was no useful answer back for ages, they would have to look at it first and find out which employees worked that day and which boats we went with etc. and when the days and weeks went by they just said that I should have written the complaint right away and not 2 weeks after the trip (um, sorry, we wanted to enjoy our vacation in peace and not write complaints during the vacation) and they could not remember now what was there at that time.... So a really unprofessional and anything but customer friendly company, just leave the fingers...

Disgusting and unfriendly customer service. Called in the morning to ensure the activities were going ahead as it was raining heavily, and got assured everything was fine. One of the activities could not be done, got offered a Rs 200 voucher which was significantly undervalue, and I would not be coming back regardless. I should have been warned when I call before driving from the West Coast and waste a day. Everyone from the office to the boat crew was unpleasant, as if our presence disturbed their activities of sitting around and doing nothing. All questions and interactions were met with few words or the bare minimum, no greetings or any politeness for that matter, and the activities were shorter than advertised. Wouldnt want to take too much of their time of chatting between themselves, undisturbed by customers. The trip to Ile Aux Cerfs was done using 3 different boats from other companies, there was no communication as to who would take us and who would take us back - different boats and skippers on each of the 3 legs (to the island, to the lunch spot, and back to the shore). Very disappointed after having read good reviews online, should not be in a customer-facing industry with such attitude and...
