Belle Mare is a truly breath taking destination, and like many others have mentioned, the beaches here are absolutely incredible. The soft white sand, crystal-clear waters, and the serene atmosphere make it feel like a tropical paradise - which it is.

Whether you're looking to relax, swim, or take part in water activities, the coastline in this area is picture perfect and definitely lives up to its reputation.

However, what makes this part of Mauritius even more special is everything beyond the beaches. While many visitors tend to stay within the resort areas, I strongly recommend venturing out and exploring the nearby towns. The local culture, vibrant streets, and welcoming people create an experience that is just as memorable as the stunning natural scenery.

One of the highlights for me was the street food. In my opinion, it surpasses most of the food served at hotels. The flavors are rich, authentic, and give you a real taste of Mauritius. From freshly grilled seafood to local snacks and curries, the variety is impressive. Eating at small local stalls or restaurants adds to the experience, offering not just great food but also a genuine connection to the island’s culinary traditions.

Overall, Belle Mare is a fantastic place to visit. While the beaches are the main draw, I encourage anyone traveling here to step outside the resorts and immerse themselves in everything Mauritius has to offer. There's so much more to experience beyond the shoreline, from local markets to cultural sites, making it a truly well-rounded...

Nice long beach, not crowded. Crystal water, not much waves. Shadow. Nice to walk around to the left - lots of nice natural baths.
