I read reviews that this place has some of the best chinese food and the best peking duck in mauritius and that might be the case i dont know im from london, and the usual place i visit without a doubt the besttt peking duck i have ever had and always order it when im there, this place however was the worst of any chinese food ive ever had, i arrived around 2pm on a tuesday, the place was empty literally just me and my wife, i wanted the crab but sadly they didnt have it (wont mark them down for that) so i decided to order the much raved about peking duck, some sizzling beef, sweet and sour chicken and 2 egg fried rice, the sweet and sour chicken just tasted of pineapple the worst sweet and sour chicken ive had without a doubt, the sizzling beef was flaveourless and the beef was sooo chewy i could only swallow one piece the others i chewd and spat out on a side plate as no matter how much chewing was done no progress was being made, the egg fried rice tasted like boiled plain rice i think they forgot to use salt, the peking duck was the one that actually made me sad i was looking so forward to it, the meat is not the tenderness you would expect, the skin isnt even noticeable its like the thinest rice paper you can find and definitely not cripsy, flavours wernt there either it was like the duck they used was malnourished , probably the worst chinese food ive ever had so back to the thing about everyone saying its the best peking duck in mauritius if it really is then i feel genuinly bad for the chinese cuisine in mauritius...

It’s always a pleausre to go there. Business lunch, family diner,…, I had the pleasure of having lunch and dining there in several occasions. And as usual, that exceeded my expectations in every way. The food at this establishment is simply amazing. From the succulent Chinese duck roast to the plump and flavorful dumplings, every dish I tried was expertly prepared and truly delicious.

One standout dish that I would highly recommend is the fresh calamari. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and tasted incredibly fresh. Additionally, the chicken kung Pao was phenomenal – the sauce was just the right level of spicy, and the chicken was tender and juicy.

The salad cucumber was also a highlight of my meal. It was crisp and refreshing, with just the right amount of dressing. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lighter option or a delicious side dish. Looking for Chinese cuisine ? This is the place to be.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very pleasant and friendly. It was clear that the owner was very accustomed to the regular clients, creating a welcoming and cozy atmosphere. The price of the food was also very reasonable, considering the high quality of the dishes.

In terms of location, this restaurant is very well located and parking is available. All in all, I would highly recommend this Chinese restaurant to anyone looking for an amazing meal in a friendly and welcoming...

I was looking forward to this place, but I'm absolutely disappointed! They took 20 minutes to take our orders, the restaurant was not even full. Finally when they came, the starters came 40 minutes late, and the food, almost an hour after ordering. My husband got his order first and mine came 5 minutes later. Another customer made a scene by complaining about other customers who came after him getting their order before. He was very right to do this. Only 2 waiters who are doing their best and what we believe are the family members of the chinese restaurant are lazying around, being very laid back while customers are getting frustrated. We we seated for 2 whole hours, and we got no glasses, so we drank straight from the cans.

Now the food, The crispy chicken tasted bland. Fried rice was made with over-steamed rice so it was too soft, almost like the rice was steamed with vegetables in it. The fried noodles was okay, but too much dark soy sauce and barely any other flavour. We had chicken sizzling, which was fine, 4/5 on that single dish. Although, the same customer who caused an issue ordered a chicken sizzling, and we could tell this had been cooked from a while and was served too late. It was not even sizzling in the plate.

Overall, never coming back here. Too late, bad food, poor...

Cozy atmosphere delicious food..welcoming staff they are the best..with the real authentic chinese taste..they are original not copy like others. We tried one of their speciality Peking Duck menu which was amazing worth the money..For Peking duck(served without bones) and canard roti(served with bones) you should call and order in advance it's not available on the spot. It was served with a special dark sauce variety of chopped veggies and pancakes. Tender meat and crispy skin..👍 Staff are very polite and kind they explain all dishes with details.. They also come and check on you from time to time asking if all good we were also served their complimentary chinese tea after dinner.. Took marinated cucumber which was a very generous portion. It is a must to try their dumplings niouk yen and siew Kiaw soup they got that fine chinese taste.. Food is not commercial at all very well presented with loads of chinese ingredients. We were among the first customers so it was a very quick service didn't have to wait much. Portions were enough to be shared among 5. They also have a VIP corner with birthday backdrop decor.. We left with a smile and an intention of coming back again..

Food here was very good - we went twice. Top recommendations are the dumplings and the Chouchou as starters (mega good). For mains, the lamb with black pepper and kung pao (pork) were good. We had sweet and sour prawns too which was also done well. The only dish that was not so good was the duck pancakes - perhaps it is because we went on Sunday evening. The duck for us was dry/chewy to eat and the pancakes were also hard and stiff (plus they could have been warmer). But I trust that this could be different to those who are visiting on a weekday evening. Overall I recommend this place to eat given the excellent value for quality of food. Recommend dressing casually.

Authentic Chinese food (I think this branch is Chinese owned) and all the dishes we tried were absolutely delicious. They were easily able to cater for vegans, and the waiter Sanchai was very friendly, very attentive and happy to check each dish carefully for us. There was plenty of options even for vegans. We had typhoon tofu, hotpot tofu, mapo tofu, rice noodles, magic rice bowl, fried rice, chips, spring rolls, sizzling vegetables and stir fried vegetables. We visited several times since it was so good and we felt so welcome. We would walk half an hour from Palmar along the beach just to get there. Highly recommend.
