A small museum that covers the history of the area around Chetumal. The displays are primarily information boards but there are a few physical artifacts to see as well. Unfortunately, for non-Spanish speakers, all the signage is in Spanish. But, I got through OK using the Google Translate app in camera capture mode. The day I visited, there was no air conditioning - just some fans recirculating the hot, humid air.

I stumbled upon the entrance on accident, and am glad I entered. 35 pesos for locals and 110 pesos for internationals are both extremely fair prices for what you learn. In 7 halls you are taken through time, from the Mayan empire to modern times and the Cancún-boom starting in the 70s.
