This is a real tragedy. However, this specific location point in Google is incorrectly marked. It is not and never was the lake. It appears to be the ancient island on which Tenochtitlan itself was built. It appears opposite Chapultepec an old settlement. If you run directions between the points pasted below, which are ancient villages surrounding the lake, (now districts) you will see the outlines of the lake and the area it encompassed. Seems like some of the natural parks which are there now, fall within the boundary of the ancient lake. I hope that one day this magnificent lake can be restored as a testament to the magnificent peerless society that once existed there. Chiconautla, Ecatepec de Morelos, Méx., Mexico Texcoco, State of Mexico, Mexico Coatlinchan, State of Mexico, Mexico Chalco de Díaz Covarrubias, State of Mexico, Mexico Pueblo Culhuacán, 09800 Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico Bosque de Chapultepec, Miguel Hidalgo, Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico Tenayuca, Sta Cruz Atoyac, 03310 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico Ecatepec de Morelos, Agricultura 4-A, Méx., Mexico Zumpango, State of Mexico, Mexico Cuautitlán, State of Mexico, Mexico
