Incredibly high humidity in the room. Our clothes became so damp during the night! Not to mention that sheets and towels all feel damp. Very inconvenient design of the bathroom vanity. Paid the room with breakfast included. However we were shocked and disappointed by the very disrespectful waiters. We were only offered coffee with small cups but no plates or stirrers, while other tables were offered with the whole sets. Nobody cared to ask if our minors wanted anything else to drink. Nobody cared to explain what's on the menu. And the waiter was very impatient and upset when being asked what choices we could have, and announced that we were only allowed to have American breakfast. No further explanations offered. Wrong(?) orders were delivered to our table and then grabbed away immediately with no apology. Waied extremely long for our extremely simple food. Meanwhile nobody cared to refill the small coffee cups or the tiny bread basket (which came with very few slices of bread and one single corn muffin for the whole family), even though most of other tables had already left and the waiters did not look busy. And they didn't even bother helping a single bit with an unknown dog approached and stayed under our table while it was very obvious that one of my children had allergy. The only time they got close to our table during the whole service time, other than taking orders, was asking for tips. Wondering if they are simply discriminating non Caucasian people even as staff members working at such a beautiful boutique hotel, based on this really unusual experience. Won't recommend to anybody who is not...

Very convenient for visiting Chichen Itza, just a minute down the road. |Well priced. I also much preferred staying here in the town near shops and eateries, than staying in a option that was more isolated. |Plentiful and very easy parking.||We stayed here for 2 nights, and I loved it. Stunning reception area. The hotel is really picturesque especially if your room looks out onto the pool with its surrounding gardens. The pool is a good size and gets good sunlight. There's a large gift shop just alongside.||The rooms are simple but I liked the classic feel of staying here. Something about the understated Mexican style details, like the arched bathroom door and the carved wardrobe. Coffee maker and bespoke designed toiletries, neither of which we even got in our pricey Tulum hotel. ||There was a lot of noise from the birds roosting in the trees over the car park, but luckily we didn't hear it at night when we closed our bathroom door.||I could almost give 5 stars but the waiters not overly friendly and sometimes head-scratchingly dopey. For example one time at breakfast he tells us they have no orange juice, then comes out with two. My partner was looking forward to the "magnificent breakfast" he'd heard from other reviews, but it was mostly average, except the pancakes which were delicious. I'd probably give 4.5 stars overall and would definitely return if I was visiting Chichen...

We stayed because it is close to Chichen-Itza, you could walk from here if you wanted. It looks like one of the best hotels in Piste, but it is hard to compare without seeing the competition. Of the other places we stayed during our holiday in Mexico it compared poorly (elsewhere we were at IHG properties like Holiday Inn). Double beds were small with sheets rather than duvet - my wife and I shared with a child each, so we had more room in the bed. No lift, so you have to carry luggage upstairs (only one floor), so it reminded me of a more of a Motel. It's in need of a lot of money spending to bring it up to modern standards. No WiFi, but we could connect to the hotel WiFi next door. The bath got blocked when running the water out, but thankfully we had all showered. The kids liked the pool, but we thought the drinks expensive from the bar. If you are looking for somewhere in Piste it is an okay option, but otherwise you may be better driving a...

We drove ourselves and when we arrived to Chichenitza we actually bought the tickets from one of the tents in the very beginning. It was an obvious tourist trap, but it included admission to the Chichen Itza, the Cenote, meal from the Hotel Chichen Itza and transportation from their parking lot to the entrance of the park and back. A bit skeptical at first, but we actually liked it a lot. It was very convenient to not struggle to find parking in the park and to have someone drop and pick us up. When we got back we got the lunch package and it was a preset 3 course meal which was really good. Very glad we did it this way. We didn’t stay at the hotel but the staff, transportation and food from them was great.

Fantastic hotel with beautiful gardens and clean, comfy rooms. The staff are attentive, friendly and helpful and the restaurant and bar are both excellent. I would come back to Mexico just to stay here again because of how relaxing and comfortable it was. There are no fridges in the room which seems to be common in Mexico but it would be a nice touch. Check-in and check-out was very simple, quick and easy. There is ample parking at the side of the hotel by the main reception. All in all this is a fantastic place and we felt very happy to be there. The birds at dusk and dawn are also lovely to listen to.

Once you get off the road and into the hotel you feel as though you're in a sixties road trip movie, not that the place is old its just the feeling. We really enjoyed our stay here. Mt tip would be to go on the sunrise tour to the temple, costs sround 1500 pesos but the guide Abel is brilliant, and you have the opportunity to wander around the whole site before the crowds arrive .. as we left there was already a queue at the ticket office, we felt very smug as we left them to boil in the hot sun !
