The Senora who manages/owns the place gave our table of 10, excellent service assigning 2 waitress and double-checking with our table herself. When we discovered they do not serve beer she directed us to a shop that did. I'm the only one in our group who speaks any Spanish, and yet she was so kind to make small talk (tolerating my Spanglish) and helped us plan a trip to a cenote that is beautiful and exciting but since locally owned and operated not over-run by tourists. The food was also good, very generously priced and portioned (10 people ate for less than $1100 pesos. Sopes in particular we're most enjoyed by our Sopes-connoisseur. One of the tour guides recommended this restaurant and I ordered the lime soup with chicken and tortilla chips and the broth was flavorful but the chicken was a bit over cooked. Other folks on the table ordered the sope And some tacos but it was nothing worth raving about.

I ordered a platter of cochinita pibil, little one had grilled chicken breast with rice and tomato avocado salad, and my gf had huevos rancheros without meats to make it vegetarian. The horchata, Jamaica and tamarindo "aguas frescas" were really good too. Would go back any time passing through.
No pictures of my food as I inhaled my meal after spending 5 hrs at Chichen Itzá but the dogs there were friendly and non-intrusive. I almost...
